Neither. We're both from the big urban area, where pretty much everything lives with everything. Though I think that I get more tourism.

The joke is that he's from Amsterdam (capital and largest city), while I'm from Rotterdam (second-largest city). There tends to be a lot of Sibling Rivalry between these two. 020 and 010 are the telephone area codes for Amsterdam and Rotterdam, respectively - many people from Rotterdam refer to Amsterdam simply as "020" because they can't bring themselves to speak the name "Amsterdam". Petty, isn't it?

Fair point. It's not contrived, but then that wasn't really my point either; I was expressing surprise that Mullon first said that something would happen to keep Gary in the desert, and now said he thought Gary might still 'turn it around'...

I know. But the reasonable part of my brain was overridden by the part that feels pity for Gary. Because goddamn was this time close.
