New Ma3. Messages struggling to be delivered.
= Spindriver =Really dense, but still a good punch line.
Agreed.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyAnother new Ma3. I can't help feeling that this sequence of strips is being dragged out rather — I mean, reality is taking a while to dawn, we get that, but does it have to take this long?
= Spindriver =New SotR. Eek, not a mouse.
= Spindriver =New Ma3. Angel gets the Smart Ball.
= Spindriver =I don't think that Angel is a better person than Zii. Zii said that she doesn't care if Yuki quits, because she wasn't paying attention. But Angel fired Terry just to get back at Zii and now is rubbing salt in his wound, seemingly for no other reason than cruelty. Zii wouldn't do that.

Which I think is the point of the last panel, that she knows Angel is a horrible person, but in her state of mind, she thinks she's still worse than that.
And we really don’t know how bad Terry was. We know that Yuki claimed he wasn’t great at the concert, and he certainly seems prone to blubbery self-pity. He may just be so tiresomely awful that Angel’s asshaterry is understandable, if not justified.
= Spindriver =I get the feeling that whosits was fired for cause, and that Angel's a bit of a jerk, but still a better bandleader and not an outright bad person.
That's probably the rightful necklace owner "stealing" it back.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy> prone to blubbery self-pity
I think you can cut him some slack, given that he was just unceremoniously fired within the last like, 45 minutes.
New Ma3. A wild Erik appears.
= Spindriver =New Ma3. Truth, and consequences, and In Vino Veritas.
= Spindriver =Are we really supposed to buy that Zii and DiDi are in love? Prior to them hooking up, their feelings for each other were never shown to be more that lust (on Zii's part) or friendship (on DiDi's part). When they hooked up, there were flashbacks to moments that were clearly not romantic (at the time). So is the comic retconning all that, or setting them up for a fall?
Zii mistakes intense requited lust for love. DiDi calls adequate emotional closeness to allow her to orgasm “love”.
Nope, I don’t think we’re supposed to credit either of these two with reliable judgment.

= Spindriver =Thin walls and excess optimism. The comic in a nutshell.
= Spindriver =I don't know, I think Zii could try to explain things to Yuki. It's not like she can't be reasoned with; it's possible for her to realize that she was wrong. And she still cares for Zii; wouldn't she be happy to find out that Zii cares for her too, it was just a misunderstanding?
Some hurts can’t be instantly healed. And misunderstanding or not, Zii was certainly distracted from both the band and her old friend/lover, for reasons that aren’t going away (as Sonya and Angel would definitely remind Yuki if necessary). And now, Yuki has a new working relationship, involving one person she likes and one person with whom she’s built an interesting association, and her efforts are being enthusiastically appreciated.
Zii’s not getting her back easily. Basically, at best, Yuki’s attitude is likely to be “Thanks for the apology, I’m glad it wasn’t deliberate, but you still ****ed up and I’m still good with Angel, so have a nice life.” More likely, it’d be something terser.

= Spindriver =New Ma3. Yeah, Yuki is having fun. Zii, on the other hand, is contemplating a slog.
Cut to the wrestling on Saturday, I imagine.
= Spindriver =Another new Ma3. So I was wrong about the cutaway. Pretty sure we’ll get it on Thursday, though. We do get the best and the worst of Erik, in one strip.
= Spindriver =New SotR, which is going about as well for that guy as everyone expected. ("Hey, I was told I was Generic Jerk in a sex comedy! Nobody told me that I was Generic Goon in a street-level superhero comic!") Good bit of classic wordless action sequence art there; Eisu can safely put it in the resume if and when applying for a gig with a superhero comics publisher.
(Is there a trope for that arms-spread, legs-bent, hair-swirling drop pose that Aaina is pulling? If not, why not?)
= Spindriver =While I'm still pretty sure Aaina's a cat burglar, it might be cooler if she was a street-level superhero. Though that wouldn't explain the necklace, which I'm still guessing might rightfully be that guy's (gift to someone).
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNew Ma3 strip is up; technically SFW, but only thanks to heavy use of censor suds. Anyhow, some subplots move along a little.

Just. Her first response — to “Sonya has quit” — was “we can replace her”, which is presumably the idea she’s been giving herself reflexively to avoid thinking about that SNAFU. Then, when she heard “Yuki has quit too”, she gave the exact same response.
In other words, two reflex responses. Not much sign of higher brain activity there. Mind you, the real problem was her being such an Ma3 character that she engaged in Coitus Uninterruptus, which is kind of silly from the start.
