Like I almost was 10 years ago? I still haven't forgotten the muddied memories from that time.

I hope to be able to import the Aniplex version of the Madoka DVD series, because sod ODEX for being failure distributors who only managed to get the local anime community to nerdrage and turn against them.

I realize I'm not exactly contributing to the conversation but I'd just like to say that I never thought I'd see the word "cangkul" appearing in this thread.

And while I realise your comment about Kalafina being magical girls is a compliment, it's a little depressing to think that people have to give up their souls to sing that well...

It's just the way they dress and sing, it's almost like it's magic.

At least singing in itself is a greater power. If I had to make a Wish, though, I'd opt for something less overt, like some kind of skill or less-obvious ability.

By the way, in the previous page, there has been discussions about Singaporean and Malaysian witches. And since Philippine websites have been hacked recently by QB (apparently), I am thinking of something. Here's the scenario:

Former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and presidential sister Kris Aquino became Puella Magi of their own accord. Their wishes? The elimination of their political rivals (right now, the Aquinos and the Arroyos are bitter political rivals). And there's a catch: they both have their actual ages brought down to 17 (IIRC, that's the maximum allowed age for potential Puella Magi), and witches representing the various forms of corruption and bad aspects of our culture (e.g. an OFW witch, a cybersex witch, a gossip witch, etc.) are running amok.

I don't remember a max age for Puella Magi ever being mentioned... Unless it was in the supplemental materials.

I come back into this thread after bloody ages, and it seems we're finally talking about the potential for stories focusing on non-Japanese Puella Magi.

I don't want to read through all the pages, so if this idea has come up please ignore me. But what if the orginal legend of Faust was based off a magical girl? I'm thinking her friend/love interest notices her acting weird, investigates, and finds out she's made a deal with Kyubey. When it all ends in tragedy, he writes the legend.
