Huh, a wiki....
Anyways, anyone notice how Mami has been getting more and more fanarts after her death? Huh, so dying wasn't such a bad thing now eh Mami?
This one is definately my favourite. Charlotte vs. Mami.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."The minions get cards on the official site. 'Elly' and 'Kirsten' were both found in runes in the episode
LOL @ that second fanart of Mami. If you didn't know the show, you'd probably think it was a quirky pet. XD
EPISODE 4. I MUST WATCH YOU.
Kyubey: Pure freaking evil.
This show: Pure freaking awesome.
Where it is heading: Pure freaking misery.
They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once moreOkay, really now, all he's done is stand around and ask people for contracts, why are we so sure Kyubei is evil?
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!I wish I hadn't heard about this show until the whole thing is over so I could download a batch torrent and marathon it instead of watching one episode per week.
I'm gonna agree, Kyubey doesn't seem all that evil. His blank face is only because he's an animal, even when their emotions change, most people can not tell the difference or even notice any changes in their facial features unless it's pointed out to them. *

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Because the contracts seem evil. Also, he just looks and feels evil.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of non-evil plot twist though. Or Necessarily Evil.
He's really creepy, accepting his contract entails turning your life into a living hell, there's Faust quotes all over the place, and people that offer to fulfil wishes are almost never good
I expect him to turn out to be just doing his job, though

I don't know...take Mami for example, if you ignore the whole head getting bitten off part, her life looks kinda fun.
Wearing cute clothes, prancing around a colorful alternate world, generating endless amounts of giant flintlocks and shooting everything in sight. Not to mention the cake world!

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."You can't just ignore the head-getting-bit-off part. Also, everything else she said indicated that she was very lonely. She didn't seem to enjoy it all.
& Yeah, I suspect Kyubey may turn out to be Necessarily Evil — not demonic per se, but brutally pragmatic. His whole being is centered on recruiting Puella Magi — there's going to be a few points of Orange And Blue Morality here.
Yeah, Mami's point of view on it was 'holy fuck I have to travel into parallel worlds of mind fuck and have battles to the death against Eldritch Abominations who have a very real chance of killing me on a regular basis and I can never talk about all of that with anybody ever, or that person will die. And if I stop, innocent people will die as a result.'
And yeah, Faust is one of those things you just don't invoke without reason. Somebody handing out wishes when there are Faust references floating around is all but outright telling the audience the wish-granter is bad news. I mean, either Kyuubey is evil, or they're deliberately trying to make us think he is.
You kind of have a knack for missing subtext in this show, don't you, Signed?

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Never read Faust...all I know is something something something cute puppy something something something devil.
Plus, plenty of previous anime/anything else who initially had lots of people speculating all sorts of wildly dark speculations of what will happen in it and then turning out completely wrong (as in the speculations are totally off).
Sort of like people thinking Ron is a Death Eater...

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Faust is the archetypical Deal with the Devil story. Having Faust references lurking around a wish-giver who lets you know it'll come with a price is like…
Well, the best comparason I can think of is having Lolita references lurking around an older man who lives alone with a young girl. You just don't do it unless you want to cast suspicion.
And, well, honestly, the idea of this series not being dark kind of died with Mami, dontca' think?

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Holy crap. I'm catching up to the series, and I was totally not expecting Mami's death. Well, I was, but not quite that... suddenly.
It's been fun.lolunmarkedspoilers
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! It's been a day since the ep aired, after all, so if you get spoiled, it's your own fault.
A day and a week since Mami died, may I add.

nishishishi~ Nii-nii no baka... .__.Okay, I'm caught up now!
Now accepting bets on the episode number and manner of Sayaka's horrific and painful death.
It's been fun. There's always the option of a Shylaman-esque twist or a Shocking Swerve. Isn't it somewhat mandatory nowadays?
Episode whatever the next one is....and manner of death is something involving the red head.
And about Sayaka....isn't her weapon supposed to be a club or something? She had it since the 2nd episode, now she changed to a sword...and it doesn't look as good.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I'm thinking about checking out this show. Only because I hear that its the Magical Girl answer to Neon Genesis Evangelion.
GOH! JII! RAH!It's a katana, isn't it? The club from episode 2 was just Mami enchanting the baseball bat. It's wasn't Sayaka's weapon.
^That was the impression I got as well. Even inside the labyrinth, Sayaka never really used the club that we saw - but Mami was able to make it spawn more of her golden rope things.
Anyway, I'm probably a bit late to the party with this, but Grief Seeds obviously don't replenish magical power. It looks more like they pull corruption out of the Soul Gems. Basically, I can't stop watching with the thought that Kyubey is evil (or at the very least solely self-interested), because it makes too much sense to think any other way.
It's been fun.^^^That's pretty far from inaccurate
Sayaka's weapon is a European style sword, going by the official art I can find. The club was just Mami enchanting her bat
As for Sayaka's ultimate fate... I'm not sure. I initially expected her to end up being quite important, because she doesn't fit any of the standard Mahou Shoujo character types, but the series deviated from the standard formula more than I was expecting. I expect that she'll live long enough to see her wish backfire, at least
That doesn't explain where the names come from. Frankly, I find it kind of annoying when people throw their names around like we're expected to know them. At best, it's All There in the Manual information.
