Nothing "now or never" about it; just looks like a kiss.

Is this pictureable? This is a trope that kind of requires context.

I think so, yeah; the impending doom should probably be part of the frame.

I would hesitate to describe anything as "not picturable"; usually if I can't think of what it would be, it's because I'm not being imaginative enough, not because it can't be done. "Not picturable" is essentially an argument from ignorance.

We could go with the Anakin-Padme kiss from Attack Of The Clones... though yeah, this kind of thing seems hard to represent with a still image.

EDIT: Does that current caption qualify as a spoiler? It doesn't tell what happened, but it does imply both that Sonic isn't REALLY being Killed Off for Real and that a breakup between Sonic and Sally will occur a year later in the timeline.

Yeah, I guess it is pictureable, I just couldn't think of how. I shouldn't post on Image Pickin' when this tired.

My mental image is kissing couple + gigantic tidal wave of doom in background.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

[up] Image Pickin' is just like Rule 34; if you can think of it, it exists somewhere on the internet.

We just have to look hard enough.

Fast Eddie yanked the picture so it's off the table. I'm posting to make sure nobody suggests it again.

So let's get some suggestions, shall we?

If someone can get a good shot of the Han/Leia kiss in the carbonite chamber — right as the stormtrooper starts to take him away — I think that would work. Unfortunately, all the clips of it on Youtube are fuzzy quality.

Well, here's a video of that kiss.

EDIT: And here's one screenshot candidate from that scene I've come up with:

Why "Ick."? Give us something to work with, here...

Very dark and hard to see. If I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking for, I wouldn't have seen it. Also, crop out the left and right sides if they're not necessary.

Can you cut it on the sides? I think it would look better on the page.

Cropping is fine by me as long as you leave in the stormtrooper.

That pic isn't doing it for me. I don't get a sense of impending danger or anything. For all we know the guy in the background with the gun is on their side.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

I looked at that scene and didn't see a frame I liked. There are frames where Han and Leia are kissing, and there are frames where Stormtroopers are clearly dragging Han away, but no frames with both.

Use both? Frame of kissing + frame of getting dragged?

I think it is easily pictureable with a single image.

The trope is. I just meant that that may be the best we can do with some scenes.

Solution: find a better scene to look in.

I am strongly biased against multi-frame page images, unless there is apparently no other choice. I think it just doesn't look good.

Here is a not-that-perfect-in-context example from Watchmen

The Watchmen image looks good. What do you mean not-perfect-in-context?

Rhymes with "Protracted."
