I've played the hell out of 1, but not 2. I should get to doing that.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Only played 4. Loved it.
Only played the first game and still haven't beaten it. It's amusing I must say. The controls are absolute ass and the voice acting is hilariously bad, but that only adds to the experience. So far the only scares are cheap little thrills like one of them hoppy fucks coming out of nowhere that become pointless after one gets used to them.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI love the atmosphere. It's immersive. And the tank controls, I admit, are part of the experience.
I've suffered The Tetris Effect quite a few times from this series.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I got ass raped by the first zombie like five times because of the controls and that knife. KNIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!!!

The telegraphed swipes and punches of the bosses and Elite Mooks just scream "You're FUCKED".

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I have a great fondness for the puzzles which are all of that lame "run around looking for object a to use on thing b"/"run around looking for place a so you can get rid of object b" sort. So much backtracking to safe rooms...
I liked the safe room music. It's comforting.

Hell. Yes.
^ In my opinion, CV is probably the best gameplay wise of the "classic" Resident Evils. And which boss are you having problems with? Sergei or T.A.L.O.S.?
#IceBearForPresidentPutting the knife on the L/L1 button was the one of the best things to happen to Resident Evil.
I'm a fan, started with 4, still my favorite but I love the old games. Still need to really get into Zero, 3, and Re Make though. I've beaten 4, CV, 2, Umbrella Chronicles, and Darkside with a friend. I have no desire to get 5 and I'm probably done with the series unless they really impress me.

@Spirit: Talos.
I tried to beat him again last night, but no luck. I got him down to about half of his lifebar in his second form.
Well its been a while since I played, but try to upgrade your weapons a bit, and save your big guns for when he exposes his weak spot. Bring a friend too, it'll help alot.
#IceBearForPresidentI loved Umbrella Chronicles, my favorite moment when the whole game when I fought both Comrade Xs (Or Ivans but I prefer my name for them. XP) as Wesker. For most of the match I had to fight them with just my basic handgun due to poor planning. I managed to weaken one of them down with some of the other weapons before hand but I spent nearly twenty minutes sweating bullets dueling one of them to the death. I was down to my last hit when I finally beat them.
I've played 1,2,4, DC and 5, out of those I think my favourite is probably 4. 5 was okay, but it could have been much better especially with the Tyrant battle and Wesker's temporary inconvenience could have been handled a lot better.
Also,
I started with 2 back when it first came out. I've loved the series since. Although 5... Well, let's hope they don't do to Leon what they did to Chris and Jill.
What, beef him up and make him total Bara bait?
What, beef him up and make him total Bara bait?
I've played 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, CVX and that's it. Oh wait, played the first level of Outbreak.
Gotta say, it had fucking amazing music.
Anyway, I will just say now I think Zero is underrated. I really loved that game. I think Billy and Becky were the best male/female duo in the series and I also ship them.
The game was flawed of course. The bosses were just awful outside of the Proto Tyrant. But other than that, it's probably my third favorite in the series.
I've played Outbreak and 4. I enjoyed them both, but never beat either of them because 1) I never figured out how to beat the Leech-thing from the hosipital level of Outbreak and 2) My RE 4 disk was scratched and never loaded past a certain point.
I like these games, and I think in terms of creepy atmosphere the first and the prequel Zero were the best. I did like 4 as well, even though the gameplay was different. I have never gotten the chance to play 5 due to lacking either a 360 or PS 3.
