Think of all of the unattractive people that will now be able to upload their comedy routines to Youtube without shame!
Looks like a cool idea, can really see a lot of machinima coming up thanks to this, especially with it being easier to make than a garry's mod machinima (Avatar Kinect adaptation of My Immortal?). But that advertisement at the end does not do it justice. I mean all that money spent and the best the marketing department can think of is sitting around and talking in a group that you could easily do in real life and would be a lot cheaper and wouldn't feel so artificial or uncanny?
Those eyebrows officially creep the hell out of me.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.This looks about two steps from awesome. I'll check it out in 2018.
It Just Bugs Me@Scythe: Plus, Garrys Mod allows you to do a lot more anyways.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific Mackerel^True, I don't see how this will have as a big of a support in terms of fan made content. But Garry's mod machinima looks pretty hard to make for the general public. I'm guessing that this will result in a glut of haphazardly thrown together vids, kinda like how the (majority of) Freeman's mind knock offs are just some 12 year old kids with Fraps and a headset being as unfunny as possible.
Still, it's interesting technology, but it's probably better to wait for this stuff to develop.
^Except when you do put the work in, you get stuff like this:
Actually, that video proves how hard Garrys Mod can be, to obtain the fluid body motions of the engie shows off is incredible difficilt do in G Mod. Oftentimes, the slightest moves of a ragdoll's limb will make it spaz out and ends up looking like the failing that you would see in the G Mod adaptations of bad fanfiction like DIGIMON SAVEZ THE WROLD!!1111 or Half Life Full Life Consequences.
Those with the time, dedication and skill can make G Mod videos like that.

Fucking amazing.
The highlight of last night’s keynote had to be Avatar Kinect, which was utterly amazing. Live conferencing with Avatars that accurately mimic facial expressions. If that weren’t amazing enough, you can actually live stream the conference on Facebook, and also save and record them.
Can you say “Avatar podcasting”? It’s obvious that backgrounds and Avatar items will be available from Marketplace, because you know someone will want to do a video with a Halo background while wearing Spartan armor.
