How does the Wii fare?
As for stories, my friend accidentally put my copy of Golden Sun: The Lost Age through the washer (and presumably the drier). The label is beyond saving, but the actual game is absolutely fine. It didn't even lose any saved data.
I have a message from another time...GBA games use EEPROM to store their save files instead of internal battery. Water isn't going to mess that up, even if it borked the rest of the cartridge.
Well, the rest of the game isn't borked.
I have a message from another time...My save file in Oracle of Seasons once got wiped by leaving it on a windowsill on a very sunny day :/
DumboBut Oracle of Seasons, while being a Zelda game, was made by Capcom.
Save files are not made of Nintendium. They have a habit of dying if you leave the out in the sun too long or in your car on a hot Summers day. That's quite normal.
The cart istelf though is made of Nintendium, so it's pretty hard to kill.
What Longfellow said.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceWell, they might be on the level of a neutron bomb anyway. It can fuck up things living in the area while causing relatively little property damage.
