What glitch? D:

Winner's Cup glitch: If you save the Winner's Cup for last in MRA 2, sometimes when your monster gets first place in it, the game will freeze up after the fade to black. Very frustrating.

Double post...? Ehh, it's only you and I in here for the most part. I don't think anyone will be bothered. :P

I finally, finally, finally found a Niton in MR 2! It's an Ammon (Niton/Golem), not a Baumkuchen (Niton/Mock) like I wanted, but I ain't gonna raise a fuss! I think the tree that unlocks Mock is close to dying anyway.

I was originally going to raise it straightaway, but I think I'll actually keep training my moneymaker Phoenix for a little while longer, at least until the next Parepare expedition. Since Niton is meant to be one of my mains, I'd like to get a golden peach for it. Plus, the sooner I complete training this Phoenix, the sooner I can fuse it with my Undine to start her life over again and raise her anew.

Raising a Daina in DS.

Appropriately, I finally made my Elite book monster in Adv2, and it's a Daina. Not only did it end up with Elite, it ALSO got Charisma! Pretty sweet for a book monster.

Now I'm playing 2, and I'm using my moneymaker Phoenix to UNLOCK ALL THE THINGS. I've currently used it to unlock Joker, Ducken, Centaur, Durahan, and I also recently unlocked Mock. Now, I have to chose between unlocking Zilla, Jill, and Wracky... I think I'll unlock Wracky, because I will get other chances at Jill and Zilla sooner rather than later, but I won't have another chance at one of the Big 4 for a while.

On the plus side, if my Phoenix has more life left in it than I think, I might be able to unlock Zilla, too.

I raised a ludicrously long-lived Niton in 2 recently myself. He lived to be like 7 years old! He did have a peach though. Now I'm working on raising Gonzales, the genero-Mock you get from unlocking Mock.

I also feel like sharing here that I kept a specific promo disc I got at a Taco Bell around for four years because I wanted to know what it made in 2, and it was locked for so long. Turns out, it was doubly locked because both of its breeds needed to be unlocked. I finally opened it, and it's a Wracky/Bajarl cross! Kind of anticlimactic considering how long I've had the darn thing, but those are both kinda hard monsters to come by, so I suppose if I ever need either of those breeds later, that disc is here for me...

I only have Monster Rancher 2 and that card game for the PS 1.

So what Monsters did you guys gravitate towards riaisng?

For me it was Pixies, specifically Mint AKA Aero. i was sad when Mints weren't in the anime :(

I also raised a sweet Mew/Octopee in Advance 1.

Mon would probably die within a year, or get fed the food it hates all of the time, or do training that would be pointless for the mon (like doing strength training with a Pixie), or all of them happens, or some of them. lol

Wouldn't they get a game-over due to not having the funds or ability to obtain a monster?

I got a Game Over once because I had so much fun combining monsters at the start i ran out of money. I NEVER MADE IT TO THE RANCH XD

I'd actually like the Twitch Plays Pokemon streamer to showcase this while doing their pre-Emerald random games rotation. Could someone contact them?

I just want to get a jist of how bad it could get, lol.

EDIT: Yes, I know it'd be way too much of a pain to switch from a Game Boy emulator to a Playstation one when the streamer already has to accommodate for a Game Boy Advance emulation. BUT I CAN DREAM!

Sorry for the year-old bump, but I just bought the GB Battle Card game.

The TV Tropes page was not kidding about the awful translation to the point where I was surprised every time I found something without a mistake.

I've been playing the Game Boy Battle Card game. it's just as fun as the Playstation one! I was surprised.

My deck monsters are Tiger, Pixie, and Suezo.

Playing MR2 again and trying to get my Hopper to Rank B, which I THINK means 'get him past C.'

Is there a confirmed way to dodge enemy attacks when giving advice?

EDIT: I DID IT! I unlocked the Undine and Niton! I'm so proud of my little Lucky :')

As it turns out, getting a Beaclon by raising a Worm, while still difficult, isn't nearly as stringent as previously thought, and Mocchis do NOT have a hidden luck stat.
