"Right, I don't have time. There's something out here that's going to kill us if we stand here."

"Not far, but there's no way the Land Rover will take so many people."
"Do you think we can make it on foot?"
"Cooper, you'll be killed!"
"We can't leave them! Can we make it to the house on foot from here!?"

"Then there's no argument. Everyone except Sarge and Terry, get out. Anyone who can't run too far, get in."

-Horrible climbed into the back of the land rover as two more army men piled out. Inside there were two more army men. One of them was seriously injured; his abdomen slashed wide open by something. His teeth were gritted to stop him from screaming, and he was trying to stop his internal organs from vacating from vacating his body. The other, younger soldier was attempting to apply first aid. Dr. Horrible winced, and felt nauseous, looking away from the wounded soldier-
-The healthy soldier glanced Jack and Horrible up and down, then resumed his work-

"Don't know. It came out of nowhere, and it was too fast for us to get a good look at it. Mauled Sarge and we think it killed one of our men. It wiped out a special forces team camped out in the forest back there. I'm Cooper, this is Joe, and that's Spoon. Now move, before it catches up!"
-Cooper and the army soldiers started to run down the road-

"I shall provide my own transport," Maleficent said. She walked over to the side of the road. Green flame wrapped around her frame. The ball of her scepter started glowing.....
The struck the Earth with the bottom end of her staff.
Soon a chunk of the Earth rose into the carry, a floating platform of dark magically charged rock carrying the Dark Fae. The speed of the rock managed to outpace the soldiers, though it was easy to tell Maleficent was on purposely going as slow as possible.

The occasional crack of a twig or rustle of a bush could be heard as something undoubtedly equine followed the group from a respecfcul distance.
Doom had remained silent during this exchange, taking note of this world. It was somewhat similar to his own—doubtless yet another variant of Earth, as was only proper—and he had crossed his arms as the vehicle approached, fixing the speaker with a cold stare. Doom had no need to ride in their vehicle, especially given that its interior was presently stained with the grievously-wounded soldier's vital fluids; something that could kill rank and file soldiers was decidedly not in the same league as something which could kill Victor von Doom, and the Latverian monarch was unconcerned.
As the vehicle lurched into motion, Doom swept his cape back to reveal a small, cylindrical device on his back. Gouts of flame spewed forth from a gaping nozzel at the base of the device, and in scant seconds Doom was hovering several dozen feet up in the air with the practiced ease of one who has flown using a jetpack many times before.
The Latverian monarch flew idly along, holding a position directly above the vehicle, and panned his gaze across the road ahead as he peered into the darkness; his armour's scanners were operating at maximum strength, ready to point out the thermal signatures of anything that might be lurking in the shadows.

Dalek Sec was scanning the area for nonhumans.
He didn't scan the areas around the champions, as he knew they were nonhuman.
Gilgamesh sighed and invoked his Gate of Babylon. His noble Phantasm held more than just weaponry. The hooves hit the ground and the wheels followed and Gilgamesh as astride a chariot, inlaid in deep dark woods and golden leaf. The horse pulling it was almost pure white, and Gilgamesh held the rains lightly in one hand. He flew along the ground on it, easily keeping up with the 4X4.
Huron, meanwhile, simply ran beside the jeep; his superhuman strenght and stamina meaning that he could easily keep pace with the vehcile.

Joe: "Now that guy can run. What I wouldn't give to have him midfield.."
Cooper: "You're still on about the football? Save your breath for running. Everyone stick together. We don't need people getting in more trouble than we're already in."
-The soldiers kept running. In the distance, they could hear something howling-

"Hm....." Pete thought outloud.
After a moment, the doorway into Maleficent's lair increased, allowing the Guard Armor to merely float inside. With Pete still stuck inside it......
"I wonder if this counts as dire....." he said, just before the doors closed.
Maleficent looked around the dark forest with the single dirt road cutting through it.....Reminds me of home, she thought.
She looked up to the sky, seeing the full moon. Though the skies are much clearer....
Then the Land Rover approached and one of the soldiers asked his question. "First of all, lower your weapon," she said to the soldier, "and kindly ignore the metallic contraption over there. Where are you headed exactly?" she asked.
