If "Tales of the Rays" is a thing, it's probably a phone spinoff or something. They've already used the letter R. :P
The X for a sequel/updated rerelease of Zestiria makes me wonder what it's about.
X can be used for practically anything since it represents the unknown/mystery.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.First real trailer, well she has a werewolf hand and partnered with a little kid Morality Pet sounds a bit of a flip of Xillia2.
Tales of the Rays is a smartphone game.
Berseria is coming 2016:
Edit: on Berseria.

Looking pretty good so far. Seems Berseria and Zestiria might be connected after all considering there appeared to be Malevolence transformations going on.
Velvet is just, like, the absolute opposite of Sorey, it seems.
Song of the SirensStill mad it's crossgen. I'm not expecting a PS 4 exclusive Tales game using the full power of the console before 2018.
The ps4 one will likely run at 60 fps though which will be nice.
Here's the Rays trailer embedded:
Interesting, very interesting. I think saying that Berseria and Zestiria will be linked is too much to hope for, sadly. Velvet calls the monsters 'mamono', so literally 'monsters', rather than 'hyouma' or 'hellions'; I would love for that to be just a layperson's interpretation of the hyouma and defilement, but it's not likely.
Looks like the blond boy is going to be her Morality Pet.
It's been fun.Zesty trailer.

^That's kind of disappointing, but expected, I guess. This is likely to be the last we'll see of Zestiria with Matsuki Miyu's passing and with the butthurt over Rose.
Anyway, I need to sleep now, but I'm gonna take a crack at translating some of the lines in that trailer for you all tomorrow.
Edit: Though there is that line at the end of that trailer... 'The Shepherd's journey will go beyond Zestiria'.

It's been fun.If they expand Alisha's role in the anime and do a little fixing on Rose, I could see it winning back the fans.
If they don't though I don't see how it will make enough money in Japan to pay for the studio they are using for this.

There's also going to be that new character as well.
x2 Well I have mentioned the theories and stuff earlier in thread about how the new guy has a symbol from a Berseria flag on his outfit alongside the Zesty Dragon symbol.
Combine that with the Werewolves that look pretty malevolently and Berseria likely takes place on another continent in the same world.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Looking good, I like the character design more then Zestirias thus far.
There might still be the possibility that the people in the northern lands of Zestiria just have a different name for Hellions or it takes place a few hundred years later.
I tried going to sleep but it didn't work; trying again soon.
Anyway, I would kill for Berseria to be a counterpoint work to Zestiria. To complement Sorey and his moral question of killing hellions, we have Velvet, who's just ripping through them with a giant claw hand going 'argh what is with all these fucking wolves I have somebody to find good lord stop it with the monsters already'.
It's been fun.I knew Velvet would be a werewolf. I knew it! And that also neatly explains "Berseria," of course. Arm sword is a weird thing, but I guess they just want to make her stand out more than werewolf arm would on its own?
So far I have to say that it's not looking likely that those are hyouma or connected to the defilement. Velvet comments that 'the world has changed since that day' over the shot of the blood moon, and from the presentation my guess is that they're focusing on werewolves rather than the more general hellion concept.
It's been fun.The thought that this might be connected to Zestiria never even occurred to me, and even after considering it I see no evidence for it. The basic plot I inferred from the trailer seems to be that someone or something turned Velvet and some people she knew into werewolves, she ended up killing her friends, and now she's out for revenge.
Yeah, that's what I'm getting from it too. Mostly I just don't want to say goodbye to Zestiria's world just yet, I guess. I'm new to the Tales of series; I'm guessing it gets easier after some eight or so other worlds coming and going.
I dunno. It's possible that the werewolves are connected to defilement and that Velvet neither knows that or cares, and the dragon cape on the new guy (speaking of, can anyone mock up a comparison between the cape design and the supposed link to the Berseria flag?) and the 'the Shepherd's journey goes beyond Zestiria' message might be indicators, but they also might not. I don't want to get my hopes up.
That said, anime usually is used to promote source material. If Zestiria the X (cross, perhaps..?) is released concurrent with Berseria, they may throw in enough nods to establish the worlds as connected, which would be awesome.
It's been fun.It gets so easy. Honestly, I'd rather it be completely new because it just keeps things fresh. If you're lucky though, Zestiria will get a direct sequel of some kind, like Xillia 2 or Graces F. A completely different name pretty much means a completely new world, with the minor exception that Symphonia works as an extremely distant prequel to Phantasia.

I still kind of thing the graphics are nice but not exactly impressive anymore. But Velvet's arm reminds me of that Stretch Panic game which is kinda cool.
At the point I am at, the princess has not rejoined yet (I know she does) but if by 'being chummy' you mean 'making jokes at Sorey's / Mikleo's expenses' then yes they are super buddies. Why will this change so drastically in the 'Z Arc'?
At my Zestiria sempais talking about Maltran: Whoa, a grand total of one NPC talking about her. If I am right, he said 'she is the Blue Valkyrie', 'she is strong' and 'she is a noble who taught princess Alisha'. Things we already knew, none of which add up to ' Maltran = evil'. She's Hyland's version of Sergei: noble captain of the soldiers who worries a lot about the country and the royal family. Bartlow I understand because he REEKS of 'Eau du Evil Chancellor' but her?
I will say it again. Out. Of. Fucking. Nowhere.
Edna: Even if it's a pain, I'll never take the easy way out again. But it IS a pain.
Dezel: You keep struggling. That's the fate of those with blood in their hands.
Wait wait, the Trials are over. This amounts to, let's say Symphonia's search for the Spirits. So they are gonna face Heldalf now? Unless there is a Third Act Twist or something, looks like the game will be over soon. When is Zaveid gonna join? I do know he becomes playable. Well, let's keep on watching...
