I do wonder if that ending teaser actually means something. Generally speaking, Nintendo games don't have stingers for sequels.
Every other Metroid Prime game except 3 and maybe Hunters has had a Stinger that has led to a sequel though.
...Oh yeah that's true.
Federation Force seems to be getting mixed reviews. The big review Websites like Gamespot and IGN give it 5/10s, but smaller reviewers are giving it higher.
I hope we finally get a game with Sylux as the main antagonist.

This game's pretty boring to be honest... As someone who doesn't mind chibi artstyle I HATE it for this game... Not to meintion the visuals...
Honestly, from what I've seen the defenders of this game have been worse than the actual haters, lol. Calling the metroid fanbase spoiled and whiny? Seriously?
But anyway, I'd give it a 6/10. Better just to save up for Pokemon Sun/Moon or something else.

It's the opposite for me: the Hatedom for this game is almost always even worse than the people defending this game.
From what I've seen of the game so far, it seems like a decent game. Nothing earth-shattering, but nothing that deserves the vitriol that the Vocal Minority has been spewing ever since its announcement.

It doesn't really deserved all the hate but can you blame some metroid fans for being so upset? 6 years since Other M, and we all know how that game turned out... Really, there are franchises that are worse off, like F-Zero, but after the mess that was Star Fox Zero (Okay game bogged down by crappy motion controls), I'm iffy on that coming back. But eh, somethings are the way they are, no point in whining about it. It's a shame that the lesser franchises are so worse off as of now. Metroid doesn't even get anything else aside from this on it's 30th anniversary.. :/

Metroid's not gonna die. It's not doing great but Samus is too much of an icon for it to fall of entirely- If nothing else, I'm glad for Smash keeping a lot of Nintendo properties on life support.

The under 2 hours win picture for AM2R has a lot of personality. That's a Samus who knows how to relax after a hard day's genocide. She's got her feet up on the dash, popped open a can of probably soda, and has the video not on so she doesn't give a scientist a heart attack. "Yeah, the last metroid is in captivity. The galaxy is at peace. Nbd."
It all depends on how you demonstrate your frustrations. Those who insult others just for wanting to give the game a chance? I totally blame them and have no sympathy for them. Those who explain calmly why they're upset and do not attack others for liking the game? I do not blame them.

Apparently Sylux's big deal is that they super hate the federation and Samus by extension since she works with the feds. So I guess the point of having a side story fleshing out the federation is to set up Samus vs Sylux in Metroid Prime 4 which is definitely happening since Sylux keeps showing up in post credits scenes.

Sylux went back and blew up Tallon IV because Samus failed to do so.

Sylux is also always referred to as "Sylux" or "it" in narration, and frankly is positively wasp-waisted- I think Retro's plan was to pull a second Samus Is a Girl in this series.
