Super Splash Brothers, according to the name.

I was playing through MP 2 and stopped off to save in an area in Torvus Bog, where I heard this.

I had to keep the volume low, but I realized it was a remix of this. And that was pretty damn awesome. It's one of my favorites in the game.

Did you recognize Magmoor Caverns from the first game as Lower Norfair?

I think you'd have to be deaf, or at least unfamiliar with Super Metroid, not to. That's not nearly as subtle a song as Meridia, y'know?

Now, recognizing the Pirate Homeworld from 3 as Crateria's caves is a bit more subtle.

Indeed I did, though I played Prime 1 first before I ever got to play Super.

Oh gosh that is such a perfect name I can't believe I never thought of it before.

Hey, does anyone know when the Super Metroid prologue theme plays in Prime 3? (There seem to be two instances of it in the soundtrack, one that plays the bassline motif, and one that plays the main melody.)

Also seems to be a remix of Mulcalah's (Arachnus's) theme from Fusion, a reworking of the traditional item room theme, a Dark Samus theme associated with the title theme of the original Metroid, and remix of the escape, pirate battle, and one of the Phazon Mines' themes from Prime 1.

(Unfortunately, just this much has led me to a spoiler that when the original version of that remixed theme plays in the mines there is something very important. lol.)

What a terrifying beast

The baseline version of Super's prologue is used when Samus is in the cockpit of her ship, while the full version is used when talking to Admiral Dane in a lategame event. Arachnus's Fusion theme is remixed for the first boss fight.

Oh man, the chills that majestic creature gives me...

Oh, and Phazon Suit get. I danced on Phazon to celebrate. Probably not a good idea.

Nonsense. Dance upon all the Phazon you want. In fact, go back and crawl around in it for an artifact.

Yeah, Phazon's only sorta sentient so far. Go nuts with jumping around in blue radioactive goop.

Samus enjoys first person perspective.

Samus has dealt with that stuff for decades.

She's channeling the voice of the guy who's controlling her.

I sometimes stand underneath waterfalls just for the sake of seeing what it does to the visor. And if I'm feeling bored, I do it in lava, too.

Therefore I connect to this comic on a spiritual level.

All of those effects that go on with the visor is one of the best minor details in the Prime series.

Just be careful when you stand inside the blue plant things in Prime 2. Your eyes might not comprehend the awesome.

Samus: "I can see forever!"

What's with those plants anyway? Are they ghost trees?

They probably might be in a state of dimensional flux, like the Morph ball slots often are.

That really surprises me though is that they're poisonous, and Space Pirates consider them a delicacy.

Is that really surprising though? Like really?

Space Pirates: "Let's basically bury ourselves in Phazon! For SCIENCE!"

okay so maybe they're a bit more careful than that but the point stands
