Dynasty Warriors spinoffs usually start with at least 10 or so playable characters, right? It should be fine.
ZSS can be an alternate weapon for Samus. Hyrule Warriors has a one or two weapons which functionally act as whole different characters, and this would just be one of those.
Gray Voice perhaps. Dunnae.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIf we're talking about a mainline game, then I think From Software could do good work with the series. Souls is pretty similar to 3D Metroid after all. Of course they're pretty chummy with Sony right now, so I don't know if they'd want to do it.
From Software also does Armored Core, doesn't it? Because that would have some elements that might add to their Metroid power.
Yeah but Armored Core is kinda dead now isn't it?
Oh really when?Right, but I mean... ponderous high tech heavy metal energy blasting hulks of awesome showing sudden bursts of grace and skill? Just seems like a good bushel of elements to add to a Dark Souls-ish Metroid game.
Sheik and Zelda are treated as different characters in Hyrule Warriors, so I figured the same would apply here.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!> I can see Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Ridley, Anthony, Dark Samus, Rundas, Ghor, Gandrayda, and U-Mos, at least. Maybe Adam as well, or the Space Pirate Commander.
No, not Ridley.
He's too damn big.
Ridley is the final boss.
And the first boss.
And every other boss.
And all of the battlefields.
And every member of both armies.
The game is just a real life Ridley.
Ridley gets off Scott-free.
Zebes Warriors would, in Japan, be named Samusou.
I have a message from another time......But Miyamoto wasn't designing Prime goddang it
Why you guys think Miyamoto would be good fit for Metroid anyway, what proof you have? :P What in his resumes shows that?
Because he's Shigeru Miyamoto, arguably the Father of Modern Gaming. He tends to have great ideas and do great work. Why wouldn't we trust him to take care of the Metroid franchise?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!He helped Retro make Prime 1 and more or less created the Scan Visor. He has a good feel for the series. And for once his minimal story philosophy would be put to good use.
Samus has crash landed on a hostile planet. With supplies low and no Chozo Statues to raid for upgrade, she must charm the local Etecoons and Dachoras into retrieving her ship bits for her. Also Ridley is there for some reason.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI have to admit, a "dog whistle" visor or such for asking for help from non-human-hating local wildlife would be kinda nifty.
I sure said that!Upgrade to the Echo Visor that lets you analyze and exploit animal calls.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBecause his idea of a strong female character is "Not the Damsel in Distress on some occasions".
I love Miyamoto like the next Nintendo fan, but his record isn't exactly crawling with spectacular portrayals of women.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Well, it's not like he'd be the only person working on it. He'd take care of the gameplay just fine. As for things like the story/logs and whatever else, someone else is in charge of making those even though he has to approve them.
Since Miyamoto doesn't like making games with a lot of story and the Metroid games tend to not have a whole lot of story (Fusion, Prime 3, Other M, and backstories aside), it seems like a good idea. A Metroid game headed up by Miyamoto has a high probability of being a very good game.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Why the fact that Miyamoto is "father of gaming" means he is automatically great with ALL types of games?
Espicially since Miyamoto doesn't like story in games :P Judging from Paper Mario Stricker Star and Galaxy 2
Seriously, I'm getting sick of this hero worship crap, there is no evidence for or agaisnt Miyamoto being good fit for metroid game. At most there is Pikmin I guess since that game is pretty much about exploration, but again, I don't see why Miyamoto is automatically great with everything
Heck, Miyamoto doesn't really work with dark projects when you think about it :P Metroid is relatively dark on nintendo game scale

I'm with you. Sticker Star and Galaxy 2 proved, if anything, that Miyamoto is losing his touch.

Regardless, the man has good ideas in regards to concepts and mechanics, even if he's currently doing his best work in more of an advisory role. Even when he does release a sub-par piece, it's more "disappointing" than "insulting", too.

I sure said that!um, galaxy 2 is probably the best 3d mario.
sticker star is just a result of him not understanding the core appeal of that sub mario franchise.
It sure is the best 3D Mario, what with its only ideas being a few power-ups and Yoshi.
Seriously, it ripped levels directly out of Galaxy 1. But I digress. He would still handle Metroid better than Sakamoto, but he's far from the best candidate to take control of the series.

I feel like you'd have to include all six of them rather than just one or two, but I also feel that putting in all six would overinflate things.
Like putting all seven Koopalings in Mario Kart 8.
