Wizards vs. Muggles (Free-form)

Clark stopped on the ridge and scanned the area below with a set of binoculars.

Catalonia/Clark
No movement yet beneath in the quarry; on the next ridge over, though, just barely recognizable as such, Lita occasionally appeared through the folds in the terrain and the brush on the hill.

Clark paused, surprised. What was she doing here? He watched her for a bit longer, trying to get a better look, and see if anyone else was with her. No one appeared, however, and he slowly got closer to her, waving for Browning to follow at a distance.

Lita began hearing very quiet footsteps nearing. After a moment of consideration, she turned around, readying herself to pull her wand out in a nanosecond and saw...Mr. Clark? She looked at him in confusion.

"...Mr. Clark?"

Clark stopped. "Lita." He said. "I wasn't expecting to find you here."

"Likewise." Lita said.

"...What are you doing here?"

Lita was about to answer when she paused.

"Well, I'm Spanish, this is my country. What are you doing here?"

"I meant here, in this quarry."

"You didn't answer my question, foreigner." She said, playfully.

"No, I didn't." Clark said. "And you didn't answer mine."

She rolled her eyes.

"Well, you know me, library, books—Don't need to be a detective to deduce why I wanted to check it out. There. Your turn."

"Magic." Clark said. "Not that hard." he noted down her comment about a library for later.

"What do you mean 'magic, not that hard'? I'm sure there's lots of places where magic stuff is happening, why Catalonia?"

"I can't answer that question." Clark said. "On the plus side, this makes it much easier to navigate the area."

"What, am I your tour guide now?"

"I'm sure we have the same objective. Why not cooperate?"

"Will you pay me?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes.

"You can have a cookie."

"Will it be a chocolate cookie?"

"Sure." Clark couldn't help but let a small grin escape his lips.

"Okay, fine. But I've never been here either, so try not to touch anything." She said, heading toward the library. "Or mess with anything."

"That's a given." Clark said, and followed her. He trusted Browning to follow and keep out of sight—he wanted an ace in the hole if things went south.

Olivia fell back moments before the conversation began, thanking her luck and watching closely. She didn't know this person, but if Clark had waved her away, she was either a friend, or Clark was selling out. In either case, the Orator would make a fine argument on her behalf, so she hopefully didn't have too much to worry about.

Unless this new person was a witch, in which case Olivia had better not miss the first time.

"I should probably get my wand out." Lita said, getting her wand out. "Who knows if there's some crazy wards or curses in there, right?"
