...

Blaz Blue has some very strong characters, yes.

But Nyarlathotep destroyed the universe.

True.
Of course, I don't think there are many game characters that can reasonably approach the end-game Persona baddies.

Kinda like how few characters could reasonably stand up to most anything from Nippon Ichi games, Touhou or end-game Asura's Wrath.

What's even funnier is that compared to most other Shin Megami Tensei games, the Persona series is actually fairly weak. tongue

End-game Persona is right up there with them. Once a character gets to the eldritch abomination of universal influence level, there's really no point in quantifying anything anymore.

Except in Nocturne for example, you have a being which constantly destroys and recreates billions of universes. That's quite a bit above anything in Persona.

In Devil Survivor 2 you have Polaris, the nigh omniscient administrator of countless parallel worlds with the power to end any of them at will.

Just to give two examples.

I kinda have mixed feelings about enemies like that. I mean, going by the game' logic, you shouldn't be able to even conceive of beating them.

Again though, once you get to the universal level, it really doesn't matter anymore. You'd only be able to beat them through hax anyway.

EDIT: By the by, do you read Home Stuck? I think you might appreciate it.

Not really. All it means is that you are that powerful as well.

Or you can beat them through being more powerful, although with most characters at that level you need a decent amount of hax too.

@Homestuck: It has been repeatedly recommended to me, and I liked Problem Sleuth. I'm planning on checking it out soon.

Hitomi versus Jean Kujo. Personally I'd give it to Jean since the guy seems to have more of a killing instinct and has probably been through more intense training than Hitomi.

Just want to point out Xenogears and Xenosaga are both right up there with Nippon Ichi or SMT.

I don't know about Nippon Ichi but Xenogears and Xenosaga are strong yeah and even have some hax individuals like Fei, KOS-MOS and the Wave Existence, but it doesn't compare to SMT which has people like them by the butload. One exaple Aleph: he killed Satan, and fought on par with YHVH a God that constantly destroys and recreates billions of universes.

Xenogears has the Wave Existence which is only one of many beings in the higher dimension. A minute amount of the energy from said higher dimension created the universe by accident.

It's power is also canonically infinite which means it can also create and destroy universes as much as it wants.

To answer the first question, we know that a mere fraction of its power made an entire universe by accident. It only follows that it can create infinite universes since it has infinite power.

For the second question, the other beings are in their own dimension. The plot of the game was that the Zohar reached up into that dimension and sucked the Existence down to our universe. We didn't see eh other beings because we never saw that higher dimension.

The phrase, "an existence" can be interpreted many ways. It can also be interpreted as the Wave Existence introducing itself as we would introduce ourself as humans. Is that what you're referring to when you say that there are multiple beings?

Also, Nippon Ichi is nowhere near Xenogears or SMT.

So it has only created one universe, so that's a no. It has not destroyed and created billions of universes on a regular basis.

And you can't be sure if the other beings even exist or even if there are very many of them or if they're all as powerful as The Wave Existence.

Jam, that one universe was created by a few drops spilling over. The Wave Existence is infinite in size.

Also, the Zohar manipulate infinite universes in order to bring about one particular outcome using Wave Energy.

Re: Sora vs Gilgamesh:

Gilgamesh isn't just weapon-dependent. He has a number of strong enemy skills, shielding spells, Haste, and the Jump attack, as well.

You have to remember that before the main party humiliated him, he was considered the strongest of Exdeath's generals. People in his world can tell you about the time he wiped out an entire battalion by himself.

I have a message from another time...

pyr0h, do you happen to post on Naruto Forums? Just wondering.

In addition to the Wave Existence, Krelian also became a wave being at the end. The upper dimension is not like our universe - it's a pool of waves with no real concept of individuality.

U-DO in Xenosaga is the same type of being (and is also written by the same guy who made Xenogears) and he simply cannot fathom things like "self" because that concept does not exist in the upper domain. It's a confirmed fact multiple beings exist in the higher dimension of Xenosaga anyway.

I cannot recall an exact quote but it seems highly unlikely the Wave Existence was the sole inhabitant of this upper dimension.
