You misunderstand my point.

It's directed at tweenage boys. Maybe they're different in Japan, but over here most tweenage boys still won't watch something with a girl as the main character, because, well, the main character is a girl. And that's just Sick and Wrong.

Not to mention that it seems like its gonna Lighter and Softer now, if the new protagonist is anything to go by. He's definately more Judai like instead of Yusei like.

More like what Judai Originally was like. Yusei was a Darker hero from the start, mind you.

He wasn't that dark...he still has the typical shonen hero optimism.

Plus he kicked ass! Without using cards!

Which leads me to come to the conclusion...screw the card games, just gimme a show with nothing but that...with over the top action.
