Hey, I'll see it. Word on the interwebs is that you can actually see what's happening now. And that the story will be better.

So says this guy.

I just wish the fight sequences didn't look like epileptic fits for once.

I just hope they make Shockwave as cold and menacing a figure as he should be.

Can I just point out that I thought the 2007 film had coherent plot and visuals? (And far moreso than Revenge of the Fallen)

That said, I'll probably watch it entirely because of the giant robots and the Scenery Porn.

I like how if you don't recognize the style of the title cards and the musical cues you don't realize it is the next Transformers movie until Michael Bay's name comes up. So many movie trailers tell you what it is in the first 10 seconds and then you know the entire storyline by the end. That's one of the strengths of both prior films, you don't really know how things are going to go down from the beginning. This film looks a little bit more like a real mystery and obviously having relevence in the modern story.

[up] That's only because it's a teaser trailer. Remember the one with the Beagle II for the first movie?

The hell is with the title. Why not say Dark Side of the Moon. WHAT IS DARK OF THE MOON?!

Such a lame title for the explosive finale of the series as well.

Teaser looks ok, is that Unicron at the end?

...It's Soundwave, he's credited and everything.

Fight smart, not fair.

Wasn't Soundwave a weird satellite thing in Rot F?

It certainly can't be Soundwave, he's an already established character with a very distinctive appearance. I paused the video on the best shot possible and my first impression was that the robot has a surprisingly more human-like face and the shoulders have a bit more of a traditional "armored robot" appearance. On a second look it certainly has a few Unicron touches, the orange color, the split goatee and the Gundam-like V crown kind of similates the horns.

But I don't know, it's hard to figure how they could use Unicron without reducing his size considerably. He's a villain that's too big for one movie even if they want to make it a four-hour epic, and I'm certain no one really wants that (I wouldn't mind 2 1/2). Although here is some WMG the Moon is Unicron!

Ah, I missread it, it was Shockwave not Soundwave.

What the hell? Shockwave doesn't even have a face!

That definitely looks like Unicron to me.

Against the backdrop of the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, the alliance between Sam Witwicky (La Beouf) and Optimus Prime is put to the test against a common enemy: Shockwave.
Buh? Can Transformers travel through time now or something?

It's not over. Not yet.

Yeah... the plot summary makes no sense whatsoever.

Surely if there was any villain that was appropriate to the Humongously explosive finale it should be unicron not a random minion like Shockwave.

Seconding the theory that The whole moon is Unicron wasn't that an actual plot element in Transformers Armada? (albeit in that case it was a moon on Cybertron I think, and please don't hate on me for naming Armada)

But does he warrant being the final villain of the trilogy? I mean isn't this like having Draco Malfoy (or Bellatrix lestrange or whatever) turn out to be the final villain of Harry Potter?

Again, not that much of a TF fan other than watching it as a saturday morning cartoon.

I agree on the part that Shockwave is a very odd choice for the final villain of the series. Megatron and Starscream are still on the loose, dammit!

You guys are mixing up two different characters here I think.

Soundwave is the toneless minion of Megatron. He turns into a cassette player and spits out tape minions like Laser Beak and Frenzy.

Shockwave is a more dangerous agent, and has only one eye. Though I'm not sure what forms he takes.

This is mostly based off of what I've heard. I'm not too knowledgeable about Transformers really. Anyone feel free to collect me if you know more than me.
