My first feature for Strategy Informer, check it out here.

This would be a good place to generally discuss 2011's bounty.

To be fair, I do have the same reaction. I can understand this being the first part, but was it really necessary to have ALL games included be grim 1st/3rd person shooters?

I'm not sure if I would have included Crysis 2. I haven't seen really much hype around it, though it may just be because I don't frequent the right circles. Plus, it is heavily skewered towards action/action-y games.

So, did Skyward Sword stop existing whilst I wasn't looking?

And Mortal Kombat 9. By the way, is MK 9 coming out on Wii.

I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D

It's only Part I.

True. Knowing Jonah is unlikely that Part II will tackle Troper-approved games though.

I think the only thing that I might even remotely consider on that list is Deus Ex everything else rings Real Is Brown to me

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.

Deus Ex is Real Is Yellow to be honest.

Mine would be Arkham City since it's the only one in the list that is not a shooter, it's not Dragon Age since I don't particularly care much for that and well, Batman.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the only game from this list I'll be anticipating. Maybe.

I wonder if there are any games from the Dept Heaven series that will be released in 2011...

Oh, and there's that XBLA release of Radiant Silvergun, too.

I should have gotten a 360 just for that game... And other Shmups...

And I can't wait for the 3DS...

I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword, Dissidia Duodecim, Okamiden, Kingdom Hearts re:Coded, and hoping that The Last Story gets localized.

Oh, yeah, also a bunch of 3DS games.

This list is painfully, painfully incomplete, as many have already shown.

Man, I really hope that I'll have enough to afford all the games I'm looking forward to (Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Arkham City, and Dissidia Duodecim, to say nothing of the 3DS), now that my tuition has practically doubled for the upcoming semester.

Dammit, why did this hobby have to be so freaking expensive?

@Zero: High Budget video games usually equal to more expensive costs. And we want to collect them all.

@Awe: I agree with you on that part.

@stevebat: Agreed, too.

This list is full of First / Third Person Shooters, which only interest me once in a blue moon.

And I'm getting bugged by all those AAA FP Ses because they can get stale for a while...

Also, I would get Arkham City, but I should get Arkham Asylum first.

I should have gotten a 360 just for Radiant Silvergun...

I kinda figured that though it doesn't seem to apply to more niche games. I managed to get Blaz Blue: Continuum Shift for only €16.99 three days after release, thank god.

Still, I've pretty much resigned myself to another year of an empty wallet.

If you know where and when to buy gaming isn't that expensive. You just have to be patient.

[up]This.

I might reconsider my opinion: I might get a shooter game. Might.

Otherwise, I'll be playing some old games.

Sounds like Layton VS Ace Attorney stopped existing too.

I must add that there are games with no set release date. Like that one.
