Tricky makes a comeback!
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectHere's a cool extended look at the game:
Wow, it looks like they're combining the variety of tracks from Tricky (apart from wacky stuff like the city tracks) and the exploration aspect of SSX 3. REALLY looking forward to this.

Aww no city tracks?
Either way that looked freaking amazing.
From the tracks they showed, the one that looked the most interesting to me was the one with all those narrow paths in the Alps. Looks like it's going to be a BITCH to just GET TO THE END but being able to race or trick it will be SO satisfying.

Demo out!
Gameplay is amazing! Great soundtrack too!
Any soundtrack including Foster the People is automatically great.
I hope that you can use your own soundtrack though. Doing the "Ice" Deadly Descent to the sound of Cut Copy's "Out There On The Ice" would be SO apropos.

You can AND the game's music system will allow the song to be remixed and changed based on what is happening to your character just like with the stock music!!!
(I'm actually putting the entire SSX 3 soundtrack in it )
Nice! Does it work on the PS 3 as well?
Yep. Its actually using its own system, not using the 360's music player.
My guess its you put songs on the hard drive of your console and you select the songs like Beat Hazard
Ok, just played the demo and that was pretty fun. Too bad I'm still having a hard time to learn to play it properly (never played anything from the SSX series, except for the uncontrollable SSX Blur), but I never felt so right getting bronze in everything.
No regret shall pass over the threshold! The demo is surprisingly difficult.
As difficult as "I played it some times and my record in the Trick It drop was under 2.5 million"? I know I bailed some times, but I did my best to pull off every trick that was got in my head...
No regret shall pass over the threshold!Downloading the demo now.
BTW, for what it's worth, IGN gave it a 9.0
OK, the demo is awesome. Shame I have no money to buy it.
Rent it.
Jonah FalconNot an option here, I'm afraid.
I'll just wait until the price drops.

So how is it? Is it on the level of 3 and Tricky?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Better than Tricky, arguably not as good as 3. Still definitely worth a purchase.
Definitely the best SSX since 3. The difficulty is a lot closer to the original SSX, though, mainly because of the Deadly Descents. I've only gotten a third of the way through World Tour, and that ice level can be absolutely punishing if you're not prepared.
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!Deadly Descents are such bullshit, in my opinion. They're either really fun tests of skill (trees, wingsuit, avalanche when it doesn't have that screwy camera view) or completely unfun tests of patience (ice, pulse goggles, death zone).
No in-between.

Yeah, the trees one was pretty fun. The wingsuit was also fun once I got the hang of using lift. The ice one was annoying, but got less annoying as I got a grip of the ice axes, to the point where I only flew off track when I wasn't careful and ended up jumping from a really disadvantageous spot.
By the way, how's the solar panel one?

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!I thought it was fun. It's pretty simple to follow and there's a rather large margin of error.
An in-depth look at all nine locations in one convenient place.
1: Himalayas, Alaska & Siberia. 2: Patagonia, Antarctica & New Zealand. 3: Africa, The Rockies & The Alps.
