I'm amazed EA didn't forget about the series after the last entry did so bad...
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I loves me some SSX, although I gotta admit I haven't played the more recent titles. Last one I played was SSX 3 for the Gamecube. I'd be very interested to see what a new SSX for modern consoles would be like.
I would too. The last SSX made the mistake of worrying too much about the competition and forgetting what made people like the originals. The removal of the familiar playable characters, for one thing, and trying to be more realistic when the selling point of the original was that it was willing to trade realism for Rule of Cool.
It displayed an astounding lack of confidence, I think.
A brighter future for a darker age.I think the same can be said for the genre, probably due to being pushed out by skateboarding games. Look at 1080°, for instance, totally forgotten.
More seriously, as glad as I am to hear that EA hasn't forgotten about this franchise, I haven't seen an aesthetic that dark and forboding since the more brutal portions of Peak 3 in SSX3.

And "Reality" is unveiled. What did it want...? What did it see...? What did it hear...? What did it think...? What did it do...?Why....WHY?!
I HATE YOU EA. I'm not buying any more of your filthy trash ever again.
SSX Defined my GOD DAMN CHILDHOOD.
And you go and turn it into Modern Warfare with skateboards?
I hope a meteor hits your building.
FUCK.
Modern Warfare with Snowboards, actually.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectFirst Tomb Raider, now this. Why the Hell do developers keep thinking this will work? It never works. Fuck it, I'm going to go dig out my copy of SSX 3.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Oh, it can't be that ba WHAT THE HELL EA DNIOSFINERANGNLERAGM
Most certainly Ruined FOREVER.
Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.Sorry, was too upset and tired and I wrote skateboards.
Still absolutely furious however...
Give it a chance. Just because this trailer was at night doesn't mean the game is gloomy.
Jonah Falcon5 Bucks says it's going to use the perk system that every multiplayer uses nowadays.

SSX: Deadly Descents tells the story of a team seeking " to be the first to descend the faces of the most treacherous mountain ranges on the planet." The globetrotting snowboard supercrossers will be shredding down the Himalayas, Patagonia, the Alps and ice ranges of Antarctica. Players will be battling both the mountain and a rival team seeking the same claim as yours.
Thats not SSX
Can't they just... rerelease Tricky in HD? That would be so so much more inoffensive.
Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.Honestly, you people, I know this sounds bad, but when you look at Command And Conquer 4, it shouldn't be surprising that EA makes radical changes.
Hell, there's probably more examples than that.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelCommand and Conquer 4 was the worst RTS I ever played in my life....
Never played Left Behind, huh?
Jonah Falconx3 Fan of twisting the knife, eh?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.^Actually, it would have made more sense to have kept C&C4 as C&C: Arena, but Star Craft 2 happened.
Friggin' execs.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelThe randomly generated mountains and tailored to one danger idea sound like they could end very badly.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Well, it's no longer SSX: Deadly Descents. It's now simply SSX.

Jonah FalconIt's more equipment focused this time around. For example, equiping some ice picks will allow you to vault up walls to gain a higher ground.
You may now continue raging.
