I wouldn't mind a cog wheel on my left shoulder blade.
No reason.
I currently have two tattoos. The heart on my left wrist that I got during a tough time as a reminder to love myself and a tyet on the back of my neck. The tyet is the hieroglyphic symbol of the goddess Isis, I worship her and it's also related very strongly to life in general.
This◊ is the design I did of the phoenix tattoo that I'm going to get someday. It's, you know, about how I deal with and cope and learn from my various issues/things that happened and such.
No.7 reason not to get a tattoo from the man himself
That's cool SAP; you did that by yourself?
@JB: Something like this◊?
More stylised, think this [1] but maybe a bit thicker.
And considering that its more likely that someone WILL have a tatoo than won't in this day and age I find that last explenation comical.

I used to want a tattoo before everyone else had one. I'm so sick of seeing douchebags with dragons up their backs and random sluts with tramp-stamps.
No offense to any douchebags or sluts that may be present
I've got a red and black nautical star on my left forearm and a jolly rodger in a different special place; currently drawing up my sleeve, not sure when I'll get it done though. Not sure what mom would freak out over more; naked pirate wench or shark on my neck.
Never really understood the appeal with tramp stamps; sure they're fun to look at from behind, but 40 years from now? At least the guy with the dragon might have a story to tell his grand kids about the night he got drunk on Natty Lite.
For that matter, breast tattoos. Seriously, WTF? I can see why you'd get them on smaller breasts, but, say, double Ds? Yeah, have fun with that when they start sagging.
...That came out way more bitter sounding than I intended.
How are the twins MV?
Kino: Yep. No references even. I had the idea of how I wanted it to look in my head and just drew it up.
I figure as I want to be a tattoo artist it shouldn't be a big deal that I want or have tattoos. That and I make sure all mine have meaning so that I'm not likely to regret them.
I also want a jeweled scarab on my right arm(bicep area) the sort with jeweled wings.
No.^^Awesome. How's little Willie?
That would be awesome.
MV: I know right? And as a symbol it does have meaning to me.
No.@MV: Hanging a bit to the left today.
@SAP: My artistic ability involve tracing stuff out of books and drawing stickmen; unless the martial arts count. Have you ever seen a tattoo artist w/o tattoos? Is that even kosher?
There was a thread about this, but I can't find it.
So, here's my work: Shoulder piece fresh from under the needle◊, Back piece◊. Shoulder after healing + posing◊.
I mentioned a third smaller one. No pics of that, sorry.
I'm getting a new one on the 20th.
the statement above is falseIs that a sparrow or a crane?
Crane. There's the symbolism and all behind it, but mostly because it looks good.
Also, I'm getting a magpie on my left chest, in a continuation of the shoulder piece. It's kinda like an anti-sparrow; it's a very urban bird, and contrary to the usual placement of sparrow tattoos, the magpie will be flying towards my arm, instead of towards my solar plexus.
the statement above is falseHave you thought about getting your shoulder and upper arm connected?
The right side is going to be a connected piece, and eventually a half-or-full sleeve. Though I'm gonna wait until my grnadmother to die before expanding below the t-shirt sleeve line.
the statement above is falseGoddamn t shirt lines; that's one of the main reasons why I want to get a sleeve done, my only visible one is on my forearm.
Also, PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
the statement above is falseBut how am I supposed to hold a camera when....never mind
Give me a sec.
Here's a not so bad shot of it◊. I'll take a decent one once I change.
I have a pi symbol on my left arm. It was sloppily done by a guy who learned his trade in prison.
("holy alliteration Batman")
Since we're currently talking about tattoos and the awesome stories behind them, I figured I'd go and make a special place on the forum for them. Whether you want to post pics of your ink, sketches of your future artwork , or just shoot the shit; you're welcome.
