It would've been better to end on another franchise. I wanted Fire Emblem Engage mostly for Jean, Jade, and Rosado.

This is where I got the interpretation of the spirit event ending on Fire Emblem. Sorry if I misread.

That Legend fight was annoying mostly for the small Kirby and Akira. Even with assist killer somehow attacks pass through. I forgot Akira could just shudder attacks.

Smash kinda owes its name to Mario and the Mario cast is their headliner. So even if you got Smash fans seething at Mario characters, they have no choice but to swallow.

I got Peach and Stella using Donkey Kong and Lady spirit on Mario as a kind of gaming bookend. Weaken spirit on Kirby as I was not dealing with him. Down to the end but I got a Final Smash to win.

As someone who's never played a Fire Emblem game and has no interest in ever doing so, I thought Robin was a pretty good addition. I still think they're one of the more sensible FE reps, especially since there's a surprising dearth of magic users in Smash.

People really only soured on the franchise when Corrin (a character from an unpopular game that hadn't even come out in America yet) became the final DLC character in Smash 4. And that passed into Smash legend so long ago that I doubt anyone but the fandom's most cantankerous cranks would be upset if Ultimate had closed on Engage spirits.

Doc Louis actually makes much more sense than the Kid Icarus Uprising cast. I'm also partial to these:

So... how long's it gonna take for the Event Spirits to show up on the Spirit Board as regular Spirits? I got the Wave 2 and 3 Spirits, but I completely missed out on Waves 1 and 4.

I...don't really know, the game doesn't seem to announce the "regular" distribution, it's always random for me. And even then, I only focus on getting the first three rank spirits, the Legend ones are off-limits unless I have enough gold (or are in "World of Light").

It really pains me, because aside from the Wave 4 Spirits, I currently have a Living Dex of Spirits. One of everything. If they don't end up making them encounterable normally, the completionist side of me is gonna be irked for life. (And I really wanted the Noah & Mio Spirit in particular)

Thankfully that's why I never have a "completionist side". I only get 100% done if it's truly possible. If there's anything like a That One Boss or That One Level involved, I'm like "Screw that, I'll just keep what's easier for me".

Also I have never gotten into Elite Smash, but I am okay with that.

I'll concede, I've never made it into Elite Smash, and I don't have the Melody of Memory remix of "Simple and Clean". But the Spirits, I've made a point to Living Dex that.

Funny story, I actually got "Melody of Memory" for Switch as a Christmas gift in 2020, so...

Count me as a member of the "never gotten into Elite Smash" club. I've barely touched the online side of the game. That's the only page of achievements (or whatever Nintendo calls them) I haven't finished.

Speaking of Achievements, fuck the one involving Ken in the 100-man Smash.

Oh, I did that one. I just spammed Shoryuken. It was a surprisingly effective strategy.

The only non-online challenge I've not fulfilled is fighting four level 9 CPUs and needing to score three KOs using Meteor Smashes within three minutes.

It's weird that rematching a spirit in the inventory won't give you a copy.

But just think of the impact on the spirit economy if you could get any spirit on demand!

Apparently one of the spirits shown in one cutscene of "World of Light" isn't even fought in that mode.

Also, currently in battle arenas I set up, my default stage is Final Destination with “Galeem/Dharkon” as the song.
