That'd be cool. I often wonder what some of the characters would be like if they debuted in Smash 4, with all the current game's extra effort and detail in moveset-creation payed to them.
I have a message from another time......Wasn't it the players that said Samus was too strong, not Sakurai(during the tourney using a beta build)? It was just a first impression, if so.
It is odd how the two ninja-like versions of Zelda and Samus are the ones who are top tier, though. And the other two being around bottom. I remember when Zelda was the full bottom, and Sheik was the top. XD
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.How would you buff Samus to be the same level as her Zero-Suit form?
Take off the Power Suit.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? While keeping the suit that supposed to make her stronger on.
More beams. Stronger beams. Ice beams. Power bomb. Space jump?
Ooooh, what if she had a moveset that changed if she had her charge beam prepared, kind like Cloud's limit breaks?
Like, you could expend a charge beam charge for the big shot, but also instead use the down b to spend the charge on a power bomb that covers a wide range. Or on side B for a freezing diffusion missile. Or on up b for a Shinespark dash, or perhaps a Prime-style pulsed screw attack jump.
Also fix her hitboxes.
I have a message from another time..."Fix hitboxes" got it.
Making her charge be used on other moves sounds like a bad idea.
Part of the benefit of chargeable moves is the ability to hold onto the charge and use it later. Making all of her Specials waste the charge takes that away.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Maybe make it such that, only when her shot is charged, her other specials only expend it for the upgraded versions if their input is held, and will deploy as normal otherwise? That would potentially make for three different missile options; tap for regular, smash for Super, and hold for Diffusion.
On that topic, her missiles really should kill even a little sooner than they do right now.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Honestly just give her a little more power where it's needed, fix the hitboxes and most importantly don't make her projectiles so incredibly slow to use. There are non-projectile characters who can flood the screen with projectiles more efficiently than her, and that's just not cool.

Samus can have a lot of extra gimmicks to her moveset like with Bayonetta's Bullet Arts, the intricacies of Corrin's Dragon Lunge, Cloud's Limit Breaks, and Ryu's strong and weak tilts.
I just don't know to apply it, but all the powers her suit has seems like it would fit to have some gimmick.
Just make the charge beam and super missiles a LOT stronger. Like, way more knockback.
Well, Samus does have an "Ice Beam" mode in Project M.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! That's one way to approach it, but I'm not sure it's the best. (Assuming you meant it in the sense of "make those moves extremely powerful to compensate for all her shortcomings.) I dunno, I haven't paid a lot of attention to Samus in this game, but if it's anything like it was in Brawl - which sounds like it's the case - then Samus just seems like possibly the greatest victim of arbitrary favoritism in the game. Like her entire moveset seems full of design decisions that are meant to hold her back. Does she still need to hit with the sweetspot of her bair to get decent knockback on it and ZSS doesn't? That would be one of a billion examples.
I mean, she definitely felt a lot more usable the few times I played her, but still. What I'm saying is, just let her be as powerful as her moveset calls for.
... this post seems pretty unnecessary, but I just ... feel sorry for Samus.

It doesn't help that Mega Man is more viable than her when it comes to mostly projectile users.
You Can't Give It Up!! [[Phash Slash 1001@gmail.com]] http://corecrush112.tumblr.comMii Gunner is a better Samus than Samus.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Why does Sakurai hate Samus?
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I'm pretty sure Samus is higher than Mii Gunner (by 1 place now that I check) on the official tier list. I actually think she can go higher.
But as for "feeling" like Samus I guess I see what you mean.
Of course, tier listings aren't definitive, and are at least partly governed by placings in major tournaments.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805On the other hand, consider that the Mii Gunner's placement is based on their default specials...
I wish Ganondorf had debuted as Smash 4 DLC. You just know he'd be awesome.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.But he wouldn't have that Flame Chain I like using so much.
But would it be worth having to listen to all the intervening years of Zelda fans complaining about how he wasn't playable?
Reaction Image RepositoryConsidering I only got into the series with 4, yeah! Also Flame Chain is probably the worst side B among Ganon's. I thought it had super armor to give him an option against projectiles but it doesn't.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
Actually, that's not a bad idea—and a pretty good buff, if annoying to people who want to control when their charged shot is fired.
EDIT: Whoa whoa page topper. We were talking about the "poor man's screw attack" when Samus has charge beam held in Metroid games and how it can be applied to Smash.
