My little brother once insisted that Wolf was a straight up clone, and his only argument was that his Final Smash was the same as Fox's.

He could at least have brought up the other specials as well.

Hearing that Wolf and Lucas are clones does come close for me, but "items make the game fun" takes the cake in elitism I've heard.

If only because it shows that you think the game is no fun if someone else hates items (like me. I can take having a select few but I don't like using all of them.)

I know an elitist. I've mentioned him on here before. He acts like melee is better than smash 4 (it isn't), insists that melee isn't a stale metagame (it is), and thinks he's better than the rest of my friends because he plays melee (which he isn't even good at).

And don't even try to insist that you want to play melee in English.

Not to mention he's a total tier-whore for both melee and smash 4. And he constantly complains about various things in smash 4 and how they were better in melee, and "that would have worked in melee!"

The guy is basically the definition of who you say "No Johns" to as well.

"Items make the game fun" isn't elitist. It's an opinion.

Saying "Real Smashers always use items" is elitist.

But also, so is saying "Real Smashers never use items."

It's saying that the way you play is the "right" way to play.

So, "new" and not very hard to pull off tech:

Greninja has the longest grab distance but also has the worst standing grab in the game, such is life.

On the tournament rules post... Random character random stage tourney actually sounds fun to me!

Does the slide result in standing grab or dash grab? Either way, I know the pain of a shitty grab.

At the release of Brawl, I came in second at our midnight premiere launch party under random character and stage, when I had Ice Climbers.

I assume the increased shield stun has something to do with it, right?

Speaking of grabs, is Ness' grab too good considering his ridiculously strong throws?

I just feel like Nesses have an excessively easy time grabbing me online...

I feel like that's what Ness needs to be. Clear strengths and clear weaknesses (recovery).

Ness' recovery is good, as long as you don't fuck up.

Ness' recovery is easily exploitable and people can just hit him before he hits himself with PK Thunder.

That's only bad if you don't have fast reaction reflex.

Ness is one of my mains, but I can still screw up PK Thunder at times...especially if I'm playing against other people and the game decides to lag.

You can also just have the PK Thunder hit you, getting rid of the PK Thunder, and just having Ness fall.
