At the very least, some music representation and maybe an assist trophy or two (Karate Joe, Wandering Samurai, et cetera).
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."I don't think Sakurai thinks of representation in terms of "hardcore" and "casual". It's all just a part of Nintendo's history.
Welcome to th:|Alright, fair enough.
I still find a playable character being included from the series unlikely, though I absolutely hope for music and an AT or two.
I sure said that!Rhythm Heaven is definitely significant enough to warrant recognition, but it's not a series that actually has any iconic characters that could actually represent it, is it? I don't think there are any fighters included who aren't actually the "face" of their respective series. It would feel like something of a cop-out to pit "some wrestler from one of the little games whose purpose is to grunt and pose" against the likes of Mario and Sonic. So a stage or somesuch would be appropriate.
Jigglypuff? I mean, your point still stands; I'm just being contrarian. That's kinda my thing.
"We're home, Chewie."High popularity in Japan and very notable in the Anime at the time.
Pikachu was put in first, of course.
As a sole rep of a franchise, it's required you have something going for you. Being the face of it is fairly important.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Does being on the covers for the games count as being "the face"?
I think it could count the video I posted mentions that when you think of Rhythm Heaven there faces are the first you picture because they are on the boxart.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThe wrestler would be awesome. His attacks would be to say "yeah", flex, and pose for the fans. And... I don't think he'd do anything else.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! His Final Smash wold be him tag-teaming with the player 2 wrestler.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
Might as well use Super Macho Man, then.
I have a message from another time...A character from Rhythm Heaven is just weird enough to work. Frankly, rather than run around in circles with endless debates about Metroid characters, I'd much rather get characters from franchises that have none into the game first.
The exception to this is Fire Emblem. They should really have three reps. The series is long-running, has consistently had new games made, and features literally hundreds of playable characters, and dozens of ones plot-important enough to be included in Smash Bros.
Not to mention a metric ton of potential fighters and fighting styles.
I have a message from another time...I know it's not likely at all, but Crono would be awesome.
See, yeah. In theory, there's a massive number of unique characters to choose from for Fire Emblem reps.
But really, who will be chosen? Marth, Ike, and Chrom. Now are they all the same, no. But the choice for characters is not nearly as varied and unique as it could have been.
That's the issue with choosing only Lords- The main Lords all fit a particular design scheme, even if none of them fight the same way or look terribly similar beyond the hair.
I sure said that! That's why we should look to other main characters (Robin, Micaiah), Lords with nonstandard fighting styles (Hector, Eliwood on his horse), other important characters who'd bear different fighting styles (Tiki, [insert name here]), and villains (Nergal, Validar, Grima)
I have a message from another time...... There was a degree of sarcasm in there.
Marth and Ike fight nothing alike, and Chrom likely wouldn't handle like either of 'em either, especially if he gets access to Lances for a special or something.
I sure said that!My preference still stands. I think we have enough swlords.
I have a message from another time...Then you'd prefer less notable characters appear before notable ones?
I sure said that! For some, variety far outweighs notability. Uniqueness first, notability second.
I'm with Enlong. Unique FE rep first. And there's enough Lords who are already notable to justify it.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.[1]◊

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy
Chorus Kid probably the most strikingly bizarre choice there- Rhythm Heaven is awesome, but it's also extremely recent and extremely niche, yet lacks hardcore appeal like a character from Xenoblade would. I've heard a lot of "oh, but Wii Fit Trainer" but she's from an incredibly popular series, which alone justifies her.

I sure said that!
