Like I said during Mystia's discussion, Cirno's Gang and the 3M Fairies would totally be affable antagonists, i.e.-

The Great Youkai Race is being started in a week, and both the 3MF and CG are entering the team division. The 3MF try to non-injurying-ly sabotage Cirno and Friends' training attempts, but it proves either ineffectual or even beneficial to them. The climax is the race itself, through some of the most dangerous areas of Gensokyo. Who will win, who will lose? Tune in next week to find out! *Cue Ending Theme Song & Credits*

Don't you remember? Last year, Byakuren's Campaign for Fairness in Non-Human Athletics got that rule stricken from the books.

Good old Byakuren. Clearly a progressive force for good in the land of Gensokyo. Plus, she's got a huge bell. I'd like to see Reimu say that.

Also, the tengu always win the race anyway. But at least the fairies get to participate.

ON TOPIC: One thing that always confused me about Touhou fairies: they're supposed to be tricky and mischievous, and also stupid?

I was going to say that Cirno is too much of a straight-shooter to play fairy tricks, but I guess she implies that she got you lost over the Misty Lake in her first appearance. Maybe she grew out of it?

ON NEXT TOPIC: If voting is appropriate - Koakuma, Kaguya, Flandre.

If you ever work with really little kids, like preschoolers, they sometimes stand behind corners and stick their whole leg out, trying to make you trip. So I guess the cannon fodder fairies are like that.

Cirno never said that she was the one who got you lost. It was probably Fairy #27. She's always up to no good.

If we be voting, I'll ask for Keine, Youmu and, of course, Koakuma.

The Luminous Triad do seem to be rather more plotty then Cirno, though. Cirno's first thought when encountering something new is 'IMMA GO BEAT IT UP!'.

Which, to be fair, is probably the default attitude in Gensokyo.
