This series does make me wonder just how old the usage of the words "fuck" and "shit" as swear words is in real life. For a series that uses phrases like "breaking your fast" and "flowering", the liberal use of these words always struck me as a bit... out of place.

And cunt! Don't forget the word cunt!
Or as they like to pronounce it: cont.
But seriously folks, do you prefer "fuck" or do you prefer "fook"?

Sony fan here. The oldest known use of the word "fuck" is 1475 according to Wikipedia but its believed to be older and its exact age and origin isn't really known apparently. One of the suggested origins is from Latin and the other is Old German meaning it likely is old enough that you could hear its Middle English equivalent circa 1250 AD.

"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des Ursinsspeaking of Dany, I found this gem on tumblr◊
I meant to post this here because technically there are spoilers
(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)I can't tell which titles are my favorite...
Qartheen Gaydar definitely places high though.

Borne By StormsRegarding archaic uses of the word "fuck", here is my favourite part of this article:
That's freakin perfect
I imagine, in-universe, archaic phrases such as "breaking fast" and whatnot are used by the "refined" nobility.
"Fuck" is for the... less refined.

Borne By StormsSomebody created this chart◊ to show which chapters where used for each episode.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSo I was reading the trope page and came across the prophesy entry for Cersei concerning her being destined to lose her throne to a young queen and be slain by her brother. Is this a red herring since Tyrion is apparently trying to ally himself with Dany?
Possibly. You may bet on Jaime+Margaery, Tyrion+Dany or Jaime+Other Queen. Or it could be a complete troll and mean nothing at all.
I just get the feeling that Dany's story is going to be one big Shoot the Shaggy Dog. I might be wrong, but that's the vibe I'm getting.

I have to agree. If nothing else, it will at least make the people proclaiming her as Heroic Totally Not Insane White Hero of Mereen think a little bit. (Or maybe not. Maybe just flip the fuck out.)
"Suddenly, as he was listening, the ceiling fell in on his head."Regarding Cersei's prophecy, a really good post on the WMG page pointed out that Maggy never specified Cersei's little brother. In fact, since the actual question was about whether or not Cersei would have any children, the only interpretation that doesn't make the that ending a massive non sequitur is that Tommen, the valonqar of Cersei's children, will kill her. note that the prophecy doesn't specify that her kids will die before her, either.
Cersei:"Will the king and I have children?"
Maggie: "Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

I don't care too much for Daenerys (did I finally spell that right), but I wouldn't consider her insane... whatever else she's still, mm, 16? years old. Lots of slip-ups and naivety, and not entirely aware of how much a fish out of water she is in Slaver's Bay, but it seems pretty clear she's one of the better Targaryens, at least in terms of mental stability.
My personal theory is that she's gonna spend Winds of Winter with Drogon riding around Eastern Essos, learning secrets and such and coming back a wiser person.
I always did think the "her kids will die before her" thing was a big leap of assumption.

Borne By StormsI hope we see Asshai or some of the places grrm mentions in the lands book
(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)I hope Drogon eats her. It'd be a great poetic subversion.
hahahaha that would be a hilarious end to the official known Targ dynasty.
this makes me happier than most of s4

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."On the bright side, that leaves more room for Beric.
Perhaps they'll replace her with Talisa.
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.well now I think we are getting ls just because of all the "no, we're never doing that" like how they said they weren't doing flashbacks or prophecies and Maggy has been cast for next season.

(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)Well, obviously they can't just say 'oh, we're gonna have LSH next season don't worry'. Even if she flat out said 'I can't talk about that' that's a pretty huge giveaway for LSH actually being in the show. I mean, it's not a certainty that they're gonna keep that storyline, but there's not a 100% chance that they're going to cut it.
She's dead in the books too.
"Suddenly, as he was listening, the ceiling fell in on his head."The morning after the finale an interview with the guy who wrote most of the bad episodes this season was posted. He was asked "Why wasn't LSH in the finale?". He gave a long answer that amounted to "We don't think she is right for the show and we haven't given any foreshadowing for her in the show due to this. We think she is a dumb character."
She isn't going to show up in the show.

Alex Graves isn't returning for Season 5, so who cares what he thinks about anything.

I wonder how many times they're going to say the word "fook" in the TV show.
Fuck or fook? Take your pick.
