the Kashyyyk vid just kinda ended for me...
Poor Misson
and to make this even more surreal I rescued him with Commander Shepard
Ahh Uthar the closest you get to a proper Sith in Kotor 1.

The last two parts of Chuck's KOTOR review are up and watchable at his site, but they're still private on Blip, so no links to them for now. Also, Dragon Age: Origins is next month, possibly to celebrate the upcoming launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Looks like he's playing as a human mage named Tim.
First mow my lawn you will
Just when you start to think your getting tired of Star Wars on come that sweet John Williams score. Have to say I'm surprised that Chuck didn't go dark side considering how useless his crew was and how much they drove him up the wall.
Got the impression he was playing it though for the canonical story ending.
Sweet. World War Z. This is one of my favorite novels. I couldn't believe it when I saw this on the schedule. The movie wasn't bad but like in so many cases the book is way better.
Shame he didn't talk about some of the flaws in the battle of Yonkers from a writing perspective (see: almost all the headscratchers on this site or just the section under "hollywood tactics")
Also, how in the world could ocean OIL RIGS be threatened?

The zombies being able to function on the ocean floor is a plot convenience since the human body would be crushed by the pressure let alone the bone chilling/shattering cold, They might still be undead but they ain't moving.
Zombie's tend to take artistic license with Human anatomy... IE Its why suddenly being undead makes you a bullet sponge... when by all accounts a decayed rotting corspe should shred to pieces rather easily.

No I get how zombies are supposed to "work" on the ocean floor, but how do they threaten oil rigs? I've read elsewhere that several people in the post Z war world built houses on stilts where they could pull up ladders if threatened.
How do you think oil rigs work? (not even counting the floating oil rigs, so... like they should be completely safe from zombies)
cause Zambies
Stupid Jetpack Zombies.
Next week features the first two episodes of Escaflowne and "The Magicks of Megas-Tu" from Star Trek: TAS.
I think the oil rig thing is that people fled to them when things were going to hell and a few infected got on. Now there are rigs full of zombies. Brooks does take some liberties during the early battles but over all this is still a great read. I always loved the books global look rather then the small group in one location other zombie stories tend to use.

WWZ has some great human drama, but it also has an unfortunate intersection of trying to be deconstructionist ("Every except the zombies is real!") while being zombie survivalist wank (where zombies can survive MOA Bs but can be taken out by a blind man with a cane) at the same time.
The "how the military loses to shamblers" problem is why I like the Walking Dead's take- the plague spreads before the dead even rise, leaving a society that would already be depopulated and broken for the zombies to prey on.
Anyone on here play the Star Trek CCG? At times I wonder if Chuck does because this ties into his joke on several levels.
Don't worry, unlike a certain other fantasy mecha series that Chuck has covered, this one is good by most accounts. (Though to be honest, I've only seen a handful of episodes myself).

I only saw the Fox Kids Version as a kid. Never revisited it.
If there's later scenes of giant mechs playing beach volleyball I'm SO getting a copy.
Escaflowne is great. A solid 8/10 I would say. It also has a wonderful Yoko Kanno soundtrack I'm hoping Chuck will have a chance to comment on. Some of the best dramatic choral work I've heard on television (take this track for an example).
Escaflowne is a solid watch. I won't say its the best out there but its a good anime and you won't feel like you wasted your time (though Chuck's right, the cat girl does get annoying). Much better then Kannazuki No Miko.

Am I correct in guessing that Kannazuki No Miko was created by those who thought Escaflowne had a bit too much plot?
Still no November schedule...
Bandon will sometimes glitch out and not appear on Manaan, so Chuck probably went to Kashyyyk to make sure he'd fight him.
