Well, Filia has quite a few differences from Akuma:
- Her projectile pops out from under the ground in predetermined spots (which means no air projectiles), like Kairi's fireballs in later Street Fighter EX games.
- Her aerial "tatsu" goes in a different arc depending on the button pressed. It can also be super-canceled.
- Her shoryuken's like Ryu's.
- Much different supers (One's a bit more like Captain America's Charging Star, her DP super's more like the Shinryuken than anything Akuma has in MvC3, and her level 3 is a diagonal projectile).
- No demon flip or teleport.
Cerebella's also different from most modern grapplers, but I think opening that can of worms should be saved for a different post.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Every single time I think I'm getting better at fighting games...
I know how you feel. The last guy I fought online completely annihilated me. I think I'll be staying out of tournaments.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. If you hurry, you might be able to catch the rest of the patch presentation!
Never mind guys, it's over.

Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity. Not surprised in the least.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Wow. This game sounds like a developing nightmare.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Yeaaaah, by time when dlc characters are actually released, game is forgotten even in Japan
I heard about Mike Z not getting his cut, but holy shit, what a game killer if that's true. Damn you, Konami.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I'm starting to understand why this game took so long to come out, and why it's taking too long for updates and all that. The current group of devs are just too small to handle everything.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! Also because the approval process is god awful
So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonI hate to say this, but I don't think this game has a future with the way things are going. I hope I'm wrong.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! This game needs to survive, but man, everything is just working against it right now.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.This game thread needs something less negative.
Apparently the only issue now is localization bugs, so the patch is just about finished. Hopefully.
Anyway, I decided to do another MIDI file of some Skullgirls music, this time being The Lives We Left Behind, one of my favorite pieces in the game. I think I'm going to keep doing more of these until I get through most of the main tracks. They're fun.
So apparently all the animators of the game got laid off.
I had some doubts that this game would have a big future when I first heard of it and what was planned for it, since it seemed a bit too big for it's britches and it was just too niche. Of course now, I really doubt it'll have a future at all. Maybe if it got a Steam release, it'll become popular again, since there aren't that many good PC fighters, but it seems like it's dying now.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! All of them?
I really can't see any difference from that to pulling the plug on the team entirely. I mean, the only games you can make without animators are text-games. Needless to say, they aren't fighting games.
Yes. All of them. Or at least a huge majority of them. There's a reason why White Board Wednesdays don't exist anymore.
I hate to say it, but I think the game's pretty much dead unless they hire several new ones.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!... fuck.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.If the industry keeps going the way it does now, we'll have a remake or even a sequel in half a decade tops.
The only hope left for this game to popular seems to be to export it to Japan and pray.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either. Can I get a source on this? I haven't seen it on SRK or Twitter or anywhere.
Hmm, yeah ._.
Laid off by who? What? How the...oh jeez, this is a travesty, my god...looking back when this game was first announced(seemed like ages ago), and seeing what's becoming of it...it's just a real shame.
A vortex is, at it's most basic level, a repeated set of mix ups. For example, I do move X which has a knockdown. I set up some mix up as you wake up. Guess wrong? Knockdown. Repeat. At least, I think that's what it is. They might also involve frame traps.
EDIT: More informative then I'll ever be:
TL;DW: A vortex is a strong wake-up mix up game.
