You uninstalled it?
No, I've never once uninstalled Deus Ex and probably never will.
I just never reinstalled it when I last changed computers.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I have completed the original at least 5 times. The "prequel" once, trying a second playthrough with the DLC. And the sequel... once on XBOX. Can't abide it on PC. Levels are too small and too much back and forth.
So so so so so so so excited for Mankind Divided. I know that they probably won't do a world state transfer, but I hope Malik and Pritchard at least feature. I quite liked how Malik CLEARLY had a crush. Also, she was just generally a damn fun character and I broke my non lethal run to make sure she didn't die.
One time I got angry with NP Cs...
Dude same, I got myself a Revolver with explosive rounds for her. Nothing like blowing up someone whose trying to kill Fly Girl.
Same here. I had done a pacifist run perfectly up until that point. I love watching people save her without killing anyone, though. It's crazy.
Also, I'm kinda on the fence about Revision. At this point, I think the blocky character models and low res textures are a part of the game's charm.
However, so long as I can still break the game in numerous ways, I'll be fine. One of the first things I'm going to do after I install the mod is see if I can still build a stairway to heaven using crates. If I can, the real test will come when I get to the raid on Paul's apartment.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I've played Deus Ex about 200 times since 2000. I only play Realistic these days, and I play JC as a pacifist to humans.
I don't count Gunther, Anna and M12 cyborg troopers as human, by the way.
How are they not human? Still got human thoughts and a human brain, human flesh.
They're kind of dicks, but they're still human.
Not really the case in Deus Ex, quite a few cyborgs are shown to still be perfectly normal people, David Sarif and Faridah have cybernetics but are still morally upright people with David wanting to make cybernetics available for everyone.
That's Human Revolution. This is later in the timeline. Let me know if there's any redeemable augs besides you and Paul. And don't tell me Klara. She isn't an aug until the next game.
There's that one bartender. She's an aug and seemed like a good person.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! She I kill for free drinks.
I think you need to take a step back and examine who the monster really is.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go rig up the 'Ton Hotel with enough explosives to make Micheal Bay blush. Those UNATCO fools will see what happens when you mess with an omnipotent god.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's more fun to have those gas grenades and watch all the humans go nuts. (Unfortunately, Men In Black don't care.)
David Sarif may have good intentions, but he loophole abused his way into turning Adam into a living weapon.
Intentions mean shit when what you do is shitty.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI just hope we meet Gunther and Anna in Mankind Divided.
I won't defend what Sariff did, but ultimately Jensen is still alive thanks to him and Came Back Strong so now he can at least try and fight the Illuminati.
So I discovered a few things about Revision. First, they removed the Medbot from the shipping container at the beginning and replaced it with a prod charge and a baton. They also made it so you can break it down with just the crowbar. They also removed the glitch where you can pull up you inventory while using a lockpick or multitool and it'll keep going in the background while only consuming one tool. This means I actually have to put skill points into Lockpicking and Electronics which is horrible.
Also, the changes made to UNATCO HQ's layout really threw me off. It's very nice but it's really freaking me out.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!As someone who hasn't played the first game should I just go with this new revision thingy off the bat?
I would say no. But I don't think it's going to make too much difference in the overall experience.
You can. The changes are largely aesthetic provided you don't change the game mode and are fairly nice. The mod exists basically as its own separate program so there's no fuss in starting it and you should be able to easily jump back to the classic game.
The locations of some items and people have been changed so you may not find certain things if you're following a walkthrough but the people are always near enough to where they were that they're not hard to find.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I've played the original Deus Ex several times and like it a lot (my current mods I use are Biomod and several texture enhancers). I originally wanted to try it as part of my long term project to try out PC games (especially old ones). I'm glad I did, I find it hard for games to impress me nowadays. One of these days, I need to play some other mods for DX 1(Like TNM). Also, I hear HR is pretty good. Do you think I should spring for it someday with my 2009 laptop? I'm capable of playing some games from around 2011 with low end graphics and a cooling pad. I would want it cheap though. I've been felt ripped off by several game purchases and as thus I am wary about buying new games. Modern games in particular have been less than impressive to me to say the least.
Hail to the King of Feraligatrs! Shameless advertising
Welp. Time to reinstall Deus Ex.
