She still sucks, but there might be some entertainment out of this.

Ah, so that's the issue with her name. She feels left out, like she doesn't belong. Well, I think I'm starting to see where all those anger issues come from.

This looks like it's going to be interesting, but it would have been nice if they hinted about her self esteem issues in the comic before... Still, if they explain well why the character behaves that way, I might even reconsider my opinion on Bra,

To be fair, we didn't know how deep Vegeta's inferiority complex with Goku ran until he literally sold his soul for a chance to fight him.

Oh right.

She's got some of Vegeta in her. An inferiority complex is kind of a no brainer.

I'd say she's almost entirely Vegeta.

And apparently, Bulma doesn't like Bra calling herself Son Bra. I'm already getting some identity issues here, along with family issues.

You know, this should have been the first U16 special, not the "look how cool Bra is" special. In the first two pages alone, we've gotten more background and character development from her than almost the entirety of the main comic.

But she isn't part of Gohan's family. Her father is a new entity, Goku's been dead for six years by the time she was born

Right. He's not Son Vegito. He's Vegito.

But yeah. Two pages and more character development than she's gotten in the entire main comic. That's nice.

So...first she says she can't go Super Saiyan, and then she says she can because she found a trigger and then goes Super Saiyan. Can someone please explain the logic, because this makes no sense to me.

Doesn't help the author says this isn't the first time she turned Super Saiyan...

I think the idea is that she just discovered her trigger. In this case it's her feelings of inadequacy compared to the rest of the family. I feel like there was a translation mixup or something.

That could've used better wording, but yeah... is right.

Something more appropriate: "Why can't I turn Super Sayian whenever I want?"

That's more specific.

Just like one half of her dad. A real chip off the old block.

Well, that got stupid quick. Maybe it's a bad translation?

Goten and Trunks didn't really care at all about training or being strong and they became SSJ at age 7. I fail to see how someone who actually tries to become stronger and trains with people becoming SSJ at age 6 is a sign of that.

The way she does it is just stupid. I can't! I want to! I can!

Goten and Trunks at least sparred with each other a lot, and didn't appear to achieve their transformation from spontaneously deciding they can do it.

It's amazing how Bra manages to be obnoxious at any age, though.

Goten triggered it at some unknown point and Gohan didn't even know he could do it. Plus Trunks pulled it off without Vegeta knowing.

This is kind of par the course.

... this is exactly how Vegita went SS... in Dragon Ball Z Abridged. As a joke.

Maybe this special could've been about how she became SSJ...instead of this awkwardness.

Seems like a really weird translation. She still needs to force the emotional trigger.

So in theory the special could be about her gaining control and not needing to force it anymore.
