Snake = "Snake eyes," or a number 2 roll on a pair of dice (two ones). The "eyes" bit is also relevant, since Snake is blind (not a spoiler).
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI had a dream that I was playing 999! I kept getting the Axe Ending and went insane and almost murdered some people!
I blame all of you guys. >_>

Is it weird that, a week ago I woke up and decided I wanted to buy 999 after not talking/hearing about for roughly a year?
I might be a good receiver.
Regarding coffin: I wouldn't avoid it by using a guide, I recommend everyone plays through the game 3 times before using a guide (choosing the last 3 doors). The only reason one might want coffin before true is to increase their level of suspense. Otherwise it's a waste of time.
For me, after axe/knife/sub I was tired of dying so I used a guide and got safe/true

Two Wong's don't make a white. What if you got the Safe Ending on your first playthrough and then the True Ending on your second?
That would ruin everything.
Edit: Brain fart.
You're right.

Two Wong's don't make a white.How so? o_O
Clover dies in Safe and doesn't really do anything incriminating in True.
That's what happened to me. Got Coffin -> Safe -> True. And now I can't bring myself to do the other endings.
You should do it. They're really good.
Watch them on Youtube at least.

By chance, or did you look them up?
Two Wong's don't make a white.I'm on my way to Safe right now. I admit I caved a little and looked up to make sure that my suspicions about the path were correct, but I'm pleased to see I was. Notably, it's the only path on which you're in a room with every other person once. Minus the 9th Man, of course.
Also, I totally did not notice, until the conversation with Clover behind Room 8, that Snake always has one hand in his pocket.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaSAFE ENDING GET!
Hot damn that was long. And speaking of things that make one go "Hot damn": Snake in a black robe. I'd hit it like the fist of an angry god.
Assorted thoughts on te Safe Ending!
- Scary Ace is scary.
- I knew Snake was still alive!
- Although I know why Lotus' hacking scene plays out the way it does on the Safe ending route, I think the same scene if you do Room 4 first is a lot funnier. Especially the facial expression.
- I am so happy that I am a word lover, because it means I did not have to look up the traditional meaning of "sinister".
- Since that ending was so emotionally draining, I am definitely going to take a few days off this game before starting the True Ending.
- Given all the little talks I've heard, I think I have a reasonable feel for what's actually going on here.
Hehehehe HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well done, Junpei. [evilgrin]
For-freaking-serious.
Having looked at the path to the True Ending, I'm glad to see that my feelings were mostly right... but that I needed to go through Door 1. I was thinking it had to be 6 again. Glad I checked that, but I can see why. That's where you find the man with the 0 bracelet that's actuall 6 or something.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaOh man, if you think that was emotional...
Take a month off. You'll need it.
Two Wong's don't make a white. You kidding, man? I live for this kind of stuff. I enjoy having my heart ripped out with a spoon of twisted emotions. I just gotta pace myself. :P
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaThen you will absolutely love the ending.
I'm a pretty stoic dude and I was balling at the end of it.
Two Wong's don't make a white. There's also the fact that I'm somewhat sick of doing the same few rooms over and over again. :P
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI feel ya. I could do the intro room in my sleep by now.
Two Wong's don't make a white. That means the field is working.

That had better not be a spoiler.
Ice, ice, baby.I'm pretty sure it isn't.
Still, better safe than sorry.

Not really a spoiler, but good point . Does seem to be working.
Two Wong's don't make a white.Oh yes. Raise your hand if you can recite the locked numbers from the first room by heart.
Ice, ice, baby.hand raise
0263 and 7865 if I'm not mistaken

Two Wong's don't make a white.
Question: How does "snake" relate to the number 2? I figured out the rest (although I admit Santa did confuse me at first.)
Also, yes, those are indeed out of order as far as the enneagram is concerned. Or at least, the enneagram as I know it. Some names are different, but the "Helper" as I know it is number two, and "Peacemaker" as number nine.
