Get as many other endings as you can before then.
Preferably: Sub > Knife > Axe > Safe > True

Might as well go to a walkthrough and check how to get all the endings if you aren't keen on playing the puzzles FIVE MILLION TIMES AGAIN.
It's not really hard to get specific endings. >_>;;
True Ending: Same as Coffin
Axe Ending: Go through Door 1. Do not accept the bookmark/don't give the bookmark to Clover.
Knife Ending: Go through Door 6.
Sub Ending: Go through either Door 3 or Door 2.
Safe Ending: 5 > 8 > 6
Well, I'm glad that the Coffin Ending's preview heavily hints towards the path to get the ending that keeps you from ever getting it again. Very nice of them.
I have a message from another time......It's not there's any reason you would ever want to get the coffin ending again, though.
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."Yeah, the Coffin ending is more of a "Oooh, look who's a clever Dan, now go back and play the game the way you're supposed to."
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada
Getting Coffin Ending first kind of ruins the impact of Santa putting a gun to June's head, especially since Santa never does anything suspicious in any other ending... except maybe Safe.
That is true. I never got Coffin, so I can't say.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI got that ending first and it surprised me a little. I guess it does lose some impact though, since your first time through, you're suspicious of everyone. It was still nice for a Jawdropping OMG WTF IS GOING ON?! moment
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadLadies and gentlemen, start your drool engines.
For the teal ruminant club, the short version:
GOOD PEOPLE DIE ANIME.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIt'll certainly hype me up. But that also means that some of you people are going to have to suck it up. Cuz Clover's gonna have an OFFICIAL SEIYUU.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadTo this person, I say: You can sei whatever yuu want; I still know what she sounds like and no one will convince me otherwise.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaHey, I all about stumbled backwards into that ending. The only thing I had prior knowledge of was how important it is to give Clover the bookmark, due to being unable to avoid overhearing mentions of the Knife ending when my siblings were discussing the game (they avoided most spoilers, though).
Then again, I probably still would have gotten that ending first. That spoiler didn't have any bearing on my door choices, and I do believe I would have taken the bookmark and given it to Clover when prompted anyway. You know, game logic. if I'm prompted to take or give something, it's probably important that I do so.
But anyway.
Anyone mind if I babble about the theories that I've formulated after seeing the Coffin ending? No need to necessarily tell me if I'm right or not, as that would spoil things.
But anyway, I'm of the opinion that Snake is in the Coffin (Clover is convinced that he isn't actually dead), and Santa knew that, but for some reason decided to play kidnapper instead of telling everyone straight-off. I think, perhaps, he's suspicious of one of the people he brought along, and couldn't risk a straight confrontation. I mean, think about the numbers he left behind. If Snake is in the coffin, and those three were able to get him out, their numbers combined would make nine. If he'd done nothing, and allowed Seven to sacrifice himself, then both Seven and Snake would die..
But I suppose I'd better just keep playing if I want to know if that's right or not.

I have a message from another time...Well, I just got the Safe ending. Now, I guess I'd better run around and get more bad endings, and save the True ending for last.
I have a message from another time...Anyone else find it odd and a little annoying that Robo-Seven in the sequel also has amnesia? :\\
I wonder if there's any pertinent meaning to the number seven and amnesia.
By the way, I'm a bit suspicious of June, now. I mean, She vanished from the chapel, her fainting spells are utterly unexplained, and the 0 bracelet actually has a value of 6. Very interesting.
I have a message from another time...I found her pretty suspicious from the beginning considering that she felt wayyyyy too innocent. And the fact that she already knew Junpei.
Well, Snake already knew Clover.
Then again, Junpei hadn't seen June for quite some time before the Game.
It could have been a coincidence, but I don't think that the hidden value of the 0 bracelet is a coincidence.
But! I have four more endings to get, so we shall see.
I have a message from another time...I will admit, of all the things in the game, the 0 bracelet actually meaning 6 never made sense to me. Why? Why conceal 6 as 0? What's the point? It just seems arbitrary.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaJune thought there should be one straight up clue that wasn't mysterious?
So, guys. I recently began playing this thing. My first playthrough, I stumbled (aided a bit by snippets I'd heard from my sister and brother discussing it as they played it) into the Coffin ending, which I must say is the biggest tease of an "ending" I've ever seen.
So now, I'm going on a path suggested by the Preview at the end of that ending, which apparently is taking me towards the bad ending that I need to get before I can get the True ending.
With as few spoilers as possible, I'd like to know: should I then go straight to the True ending, or should I try and get as many other endings as I can before doing that?
I have a message from another time...
