You can pull yourself up if you press the up arrow a lot. I also thought I couldn't get out of there.

I hit the rightmost edge of the area. Now I have to go all the way back to find the entrance to the spaceship...

The ship is so large that the far right end of it almost reaches the end of the map. You can just keep jumping up and reach it.

And I got to 121 coins before getting bored. I guess I really did miss a lot on the ship.

I tried to go up as high as I could but then got tired and decided to try falling.

I got 165 coins in 6630 seconds earlier; explainxkcd says there are 169. I missed the eagles, the reentry capsule, and the rock island in the sky (just left of the Washington Monument), and I suspect a couple coins floating in the air. The rock island I even missed exploring the overview the first time.

I think I managed to outrun the world loading in the star destroyer and then I got stuck inside a solid black section. Well. I explored all of the ground-level areas of the left side before that happened, though.

Those you listed specifically have only a coin each (i.e. 3), you probably missed a coin from the kite? Or the quadcopter? IDK

There are black sections you can go through. You might get stuck under something when trying to go back up, move around and retry and you'll find a way eventually.

Well technically speaking the ones you can go through aren't black. Change around your viewing angles a bit and you'll see that they're very dark grey. LOL

I wish all the empty spaces had textures, so I know if I'm still moving, stuck against a wall, or the images just aren't loading because of network lag.
