The prongs on the plug hose are actually tubes, and the outlet is just a fancy looking dispenser.

That sounds like a interesting place to work for.

If "work" is even an appropriate term. For a second there I thought that was an ordinary electrical outlet and he was heating his soup by shorting the wire through it.

Final Telescope VII was the best but also the last really good Telescope.

No items, Fox only, Final Telescope.

The Nightmare Scope sounds like something I would like to have.

New Study

Surprised I'm the one to post it, this late in the day.

I see a problem with today's what-if:

  • It says half a nanosievert is 1/500ths of eating a banana.
  • The radiation chart says eating a banana is 0.1µs, which is 100 nanosievert.
  • I may be mistaken, but I'm under the impression that half a nanosievert is 1/200ths of 100 nanosieverts, not 1/500ths.

[down]I think so.

Is the final alt-text a reference to Relativistic Baseball?

You know, it's rather amusing when these sorts of questions come up. Clearly the notion is preposterous in the sense that if you're close enough to a supernova to be affected by the neutrinos, you've already been destroyed in a variety of other ways, but it does make for an interesting thought experiment about neutrinos themselves.

Wait, the newer commits are at the bottom? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Generally, yeah, but you can display it the other way too depending on your view tool. Also, the punchline would have come at the top of the comic that way. 8-)

Ah, if only it were possible to do version control with embedded programming languages like VBA/Office.
