Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Tavros Nitram and overexcited Tumblr users?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Oh, is that what that weird capping on tumblr is about?
Why would they start the part in caps with a lowercase, though? Do they really hold down shift immediately after hitting caps lock?
On the topic of the comic, yeah, I can't at all see how Sarah was in the wrong at all. She apologized before being prompted to, for crying out loud!
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask. It's supposed to depict starting a sentence normally and then suddDENLY RAISING YOUR VOICE AT THE END.
I'm of the opinion that everywhere else on the internet needs to have potholes too.
It's way easier for telling someone's tone of voice WHEN THEY'RE SUDDENLY YELLING AT YOU ARGHBLHUDADRL, or for telling the difference between someone ironically saying something and when they genuinely mean it.
Potholes make communication on this forum much easier than on others.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Unsubtle, but efficient.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.32 basically gets at the points I was making. I personally don't have an issue with hitting on people at cardgames. It's a bit obnoxious but as long as both people are on board it's fine, and if they're not, just take no to mean no. But "don't hit on your fellow players" wasn't just good social etiquette, it was an explicit rule. The idea that "Oh, but it's okay the moment you're no longer actively in a match" is patently ridiculous-to the extent that it feels like the rule is explicitly written in such a method as to make Sarah out to be A OK and Larry out to be, well, Larry.
No, the reason for the rule is to keep you from harassing a captive audience. It's not just there for, "Don't try to hook up at tournaments", there are practical reasons, which don't apply once the gaming is over.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. Also even if it WASN'T against the rules, the way Larry did it and the way Sarah did are completely different in strategy.
Read my stories!I didn't say that Sarah's strategy was wrong. All I said was that from an optics standpoint, it's ridiculous to say it's okay to hit on Sam after the match when it's not okay for Larry to hit on Sarah.
I get that I'm in the minority on this. But then again, everyone else is wrong~ <dance dance dance>
In all seriousness, it would have been less uncouth for Sarah to wait until the event was over. Yes, opponents in the game are a captive audience, but that was the objection to hitting on players raised by the people in this thread not the reasoning presented in the comic itself (feel free to link to the 278 panels wasted on explaining the reasoning that I somehow have immediately forgotten). In short, at least as far as EGS is concerned, that's post hoc reasoning.
In less seriousness, re: the "Sarah is trading her discomfort at dating a man who turns into a woman for dating a man who has a vagina" thing, I think it's simple.
Judging by her own fantasy sequences, it wasn't that she disliked Elliot turning into a woman, just that female Elliot had bigger breasts than her.

...I uh. Don't think that was Sarah's problem.
Also the reasoning about captive audiences was mentioned in The Rant so it's presumably the in-universe reason as well?

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Get your mind out of the gutter, Mousa.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.For once, I can finally say I understand Sarahs character
Mostly because a year of R Ping experience and having played a character who was just as poor at picking relationships.
Sarah is being fucking stupid right now. The only thing worse she could have done is latched on to someone already in a relationship.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. That explains a lot.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Wait, how is being friendly with someone stupid? I mean yes they just met but they seemed to have a good time during the game and it's not like they're vying for a committed relationship or anything, just a chance to hang out.
It explains EVERYTHING!
Wait, what's being explained here?
The Blog The ArtOh, I was referring to your previous post.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.You should add arrows to your message, Ninety.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Sarah's making what may be a potentially disastrous mistake. I don't think she's being stupid, however. She doesn't appear to be aware of Sam's gender issues.
That being said, "hang out and see if we click" is not the same as "latching on". We have been given no indication that Sarah is especially invested in the idea of a relationship with Sam; only that she's willing to explore the possibility.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.@Tobias, Yeah well, if they become friends it's the sort of thing she'll learn about. Ideally you're not exactly going to know or are about a person's gender identity issues on sight, they'll tell you when they're comfortable with you. Surah not knowing is hardly makes anything a stupid decision on her part besides making the whole thing sound like a date.
The Blog The ArtWhy is it potentially disastrous? Transphobia or something?
Let's assume Sarah was in the wrong here.
She -spent the card game bantering and having a good time with Sam
-set it up as a platonic thing
-and when she realized it came off as date-ish SHE APOLOGIZED FOR MAKING HIM UNCOMFORTABLE
If Rich and Larry had done those steps, I don't think people would hate them as much, just pointing that out. Heck I would have been more sympathetic to them if their first reaction was sHIT sORRY i fUCKED uP
