I thnk Space Babies was missing like, a few more scenes or lines of dialogue here or there.

Like, I was expecting there to be some moment where the Doctor realized that maybe the Bogeyman wasn't dangerous, it was just designed to be scary. Something like that.

Since the climax of the episode is the Doctor risking his life to save it, when all we know about it is that it was built to terrorize children.

I thought Galifrey got better from the Time War. Was there another apocalypse? Was it the Flux?

[up]It was the Master.

Remember when he bombed Gallifrey in Series 12?

Yeah the Master killed all the time lords off screen in Series 12.

So I guess the TWO things to look out for in the event of future pantheon appearances are

1. Whether or not they use the giggle

2. Whether or not Maestro's kid Harbinger shows up

Eh, it'll get retconned eventually, just like the last three or so times Gallifrey got destroyed.

At least the time lock being undone means we still have Time Lords running around this time.

they're under the umbrella of 'cyerbermen'

I find it really funny the Cybermen could probably curb stomp the Daleks now thanks to all the upgrades

I'm still betting on the Rani returning in the next season or two. RTD's dropped enough hints.

(I'd like to see Omega and the Monk back as well, but no rush)

The Devil's Chord has the creepiest opening sequence of any episode ever. I'm referring specifically to the Maestro breaking the 4th wall and playing the theme music. That was a great "Oh Crap!" moment.

[up]That was incredible.

I have just seen The Devil's Cord and thought it was amazing. Maestro was a great villain and it was such an inventive episode. Glad to see RTJ is getting really experimentative. There's Always a Twist in the End is now stuck in my head. I also like the implication that the Doctor hears the soundtrack of the show ("I thought that was non-diagetic").

With the mention of Susan, my theory is that the mysterious character played by Anita Dobson in the Christmas Episode (the one who recognises the TARDIS) is Susan, either a regeneration or her just naturally reaching that age.

I honestly loved the dog song, the real Beatles could never.

You know, since it set up the villain who's the overarching antagonist of this series, could the original Toymaker episode count as a Innocuously Important Episode?

Yeah I'd like for more Time Lords to turn up again, and at least this time it'd be easier to say "no, they weren't all killed actually".

I still think "Cyber Lords" would have been a better name.

I’ve seen at least one person on Twitter say that this show doesn’t have a canon.

I liked these past two episodes. They felt like fairy tales. Which I always liked from Doctor Who. Jinkx Monsoon was also a blast as the Maestro.

I enjoyed both the new episodes, although part of me wishes that The Devil's Chord had been a two parter so it would've had more room to breathe. For bringing such a legendary band into the mix, The Beatles inclusion didn't amount to much and their last minute save felt kind of empty because of it. I would've liked more time with the band, maybe trying to get them to understand why music is so special. And I definitely would've loved more time for The Maestro to chew the scenery.

What was the special song that they played at the end to win? Should I have recognized it?
