As long as she's not an American.
...I vaguely remember reading a paranoid description someone wrote of a horrible potential future ruled by...I want to say a Chinese/Korean lesbian cyborg? That could be pretty cool. A Doctor that fits that description.
...actually, no, wait, go further into the future, make that Liz XX or something.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Liiiiizzzzz!
lmfao. Yes. This.
...Liiiiizzzzz! I miss her so much. ;_;
Liz X was pretty rad. Easily the best part of The Beast Below.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."...Oh. I had to look at the recap page for Beast to realize no one was talking about Elizabeth Shaw.
*pouts*
Re: Asian characters. That doctor from The God Complex. Rita, I think?
Heart of StoneWasn't there also one of the scientists in the Cold Blood two-parter, or am I misremembering?
"We're home, Chewie."Beast Below is a brilliant episode, even if it wasn't well received when it aired. I'd be hard pressed to decide what the best part of the episode was; possibly the aesthetic; Starship UK looked gorgeous in a way that hard to pin down; it was this eclectic mishmash of fairground, renaissance, mediaeval and raygun aesthetic; some how miraculously kept together with brass.
I'm also quite fond of the democractly maintained dark secret no one remembers, but everyone knows exists.
Played by Meera Syal, yes.
I hated the plot and hated the Smilers, but from the point where they're taken to the Tower, it may be the best episode of the season.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI won't be able to join the game this week or next week due to starting a new job. I'll let you know when things stabilize.
Fresh-eyed movie blogEven Darkstalkers?
Do you want Darkstalkers to be Doctor Who-related?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhy not? For all we know, there could be an alien planet out there which just happens to function exactly like the Darkstalker games. Meanwhile, one day, a human on Earth received a strange dream of sexy succubus' and classy vampires and all other sorts of horror monsters beating the ever-loving shat out of each other and, not realizing that he in fact was a latent telepath who had received visions of this other planet, made a few games out of it. Oh, and he just happened to give the 4th Doctor a bagfull of jellybabies when he was running low.
Elementary, really.

I mean, having a big iconic British franchise gobbling up other franchises and laying claim to them is probably fine.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, as long as it's only doing it to franchises.
Capitalist bastards get what they deserved.
Yes its fine that the big money making british franchise is doing it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSomething something expanding eating simile.
The only thing I can think of cancer and that seems too grim.

Heart of StoneUgh, the Literature.Faction Paradox page is a self-demonstrating in-character nightmare to read. After reading the whole description, I still only have a decent idea what the hell it's about.
Note: I'm not asking what it's about. I can use Google for that if I really need to. But our page on it is awful.
It doesn't help that the organization and the series share the same name. Can make it difficult to be sure which we're referring to.
I would think the fact that it's in the Literature/ namespace would clarify that, but apparently whoever wrote it didn't get the memo.
More Asian characters. Please, tell me if I'm forgetting someone, but I think the only Asian characters in Doctor Who's entire history were racist caricatures in the classic series, and Toshiko in Torchwood.
