Yonic is a nice word.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersLook at the neck petal fringe thing.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm pretty sure the first thing I heard about them was someone talking about the "vagina aliens."
Though, the more I look at them, the more I can see why they would appear phallic.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Now I remember, I was watching Nash's review becuase I was curious to see what classic who stuff was like during a time when I didn't know how to get to watching it myself.
The Blog The ArtThey honestly just look like poorly designed plant monsters to me.
Fear is a superpower. Can't they be all three?
"We're home, Chewie."All plants look like vaginas on a low enough budget.
All plants look like vaginas if you are Sigmund Freud.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."All plants look like vaginas if you're desperate enough.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. What about the ones that look like penises?
Song of the SirensExcept tobacco plants.

"We're home, Chewie."especially the ones that look like penises
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. You're thinking of mushrooms. They're fungi, not plants.
In other news I'm really getting into the Verity pod-casts.
Pod-casts? Are those like podcasts?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Sorry, I'm still thinking of plants and sexy seed pods.

@Whowho, good, you should, Verity is great. Though for once I was disturbed by the crew's nigh unanimous love for Robot of Sherwood. This may be the first and only time Liz and I have disagreed on something.
The fact that only one Verity, rightly, thought the episode wasn't good continues to boggle me.
The Blog The ArtSubjectivism, ho!
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Yeah, they are moving in vastly different circles. Listen was almost universally liked from what I've seen, and they said they thought it was the most controversial episode of the season.
Fresh-eyed movie blogA choose your own Adventure Review for Doctor Who is the most genius thing I've ever encountered. For one it's a great way to commit to a balanced argument, but it also highlights a major aspect of Doctor Who; it's so big and multifaceted that anything in it can be favourable to one fan and aggravating to another.
Also what I love about the Verities is that they have a focus on positivity. The negativity in the fandom at the moment is really trying on me (Right up until the moment you guys got me hooked on Editorium I was seriously contemplating leaving the fandom and enjoying Doctor Who in silence)
The biggest difference in sections was what happens if you say you're not a fan of Moffat.
Fresh-eyed movie blogEvery episode of Who deserves this kind of treatment. Doctor Who is dividing and I'd love to see a major fan project to examine that like that review just did.
Indeed. I just watched Tomb of the Cybermen the other day. Everywhere I went, it was considered a bonafide classic, and one of the best examples of Troughton's era. It even got the honor of being shown in the 2nd Doctor Anniversary Special! And now, having seen it in full for the first time, I can honestly say that the choice may have been due less to it's quality, (or lack thereof,) and more due to being a fully surviving Troughton story that was 4 episodes long. Frankly, Tomb was a mess, though you don't need to take my word for it; the Eruditorum explains it with aplomb, though what it doesn't say is that the acting by anyone who wasn't Jamie, Victoria, or the Doctor was wooden and/or atrocious, which is especially noticeable when you have such a large cast all together like in this story. There was one, just one, really darn good moment; I'm speaking of course about the rather emotional scene between the Doctor and Victoria. But other than that, it was just one great big slog.
