And therefore Violetta will trail along, too, complaining bitterly the whole way. I look forward to more verbal fireworks between her and Tarvek. *snickers* She didn't know when she was well off!
If it moves, eat it!Spunky sidekick or hapless apprentice? Which is better? Must be decided by snark at five paces.
As I remember it, that wasn't the deal. Gil agreed to cooperate with his "treatment" in exchange for her safety. He isn't taking her back to Klaus, he's taking her away.
The more I think about Agatha taking up Gil's offer, the less I think of it.
I mean, so far her story has been building on her growing stronger, and less of a victim of circumstances, but just up and running off with him after all the work she's done for the defense of Mechanicsburg strikes me as a backslide towards victimhood and relying on others to save her bacon, and makes her a little less interesting. I find Agatha the Action Girl interesting. Agatha the Damsel in Distress, who needs a man to save her, is anything but.
(Mind you, Gil's acting in the "Me Tarzan, you helpless woman Jane" I can live with, as far as narrative devices go. Pretty much from the beginning his depiction has been prime "Alpha Male" material.)
I do hope in the next strip Agatha picks back up on the "no" she started on, in the second panel, before her slip.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpEuo that is what I hope for too!!!
DoodlesWell he can count on Gil going "rogue" but to what extent?
Well here goes nothingIf we get the kind of overdue and over-ignited lightning storm I fear, then Agatha may have no choice but to get out with Gil. And Franz may not survive. Weren't we warned about a death? Though Tarvek would do what he could, if he remains there, there might not be much.
Tarvek isn't staying there not if Violetta has anything to say about it. She's gonna pack him up and send him off, or risk losing her bet.
DoodlesWhich means poor Moloch will have to follow along, too, to make sure the game is fair and the rules are followed.
If it moves, eat it!Is it possible that Klaus recognizes that Agatha is his best hope of recovery is Agatha?
Looking closely at the way the Super Zappy Stick is aimed, it seems to be pointing down, not up. If it has fired, it might do damage to other parts of the Kestle or town rather than bringing lightning down.

I'm wondering if agatha will look into that window and see something important.
Trump delenda estWhat is just inside the window? I suddenly imagine a group, no make that two groups, of Agatha's dingbots sitting around and playing card games or dice. Queenie is there to make sure they play nice. On hearing the thump, they open the window to see Agatha. Cries of "What are you doing here?" come from all parties both those inside and those outside the window.
The only person who could pull off an impersonation of Gil like that (flying solo, one foot on the steering wheel) would be .... It could also be that the mind control device was used to put his personality in Gil's body. That would be one of the few things that could explain the dialog. Gil would not assume Agatha had lost yet. Especially if he looked and figured out what she was attempting. Of course maybe only Agatha is that smart.

Levity is what keeps airships afloat. Everything else is just ballast.I'd say if anyone could imitate Gil, it'd be Wooster. He's dashing enough to keep it up for at least a while, and he's been around Gil more than anyone else. Being a master spy, perhaps he is also a master of disguise? He also knows about Lu, and a Heterodyne/Mongfish is probably the world's best weapon against her, so he'd have a vested interest in keeping Agatha safe.
Actually I am a rocket wizard.Oh, I do hope there's some sort of mechanism so that it doesn't go off when Agatha doesn't want it to, a hair trigger would be such a bad idea on that thing.
I agree that I don't want to see Agatha fold up like a damsel in distress; but I could see Gil kidnapping her against her will, the farewell lightning strike at DK revving it up to defend Mechanicsburg, Gil trying to drag Agatha to Paris for safety, Agatha indignantly pointing out that she has saved the town, the Wulfenbach fleet getting between Agatha and Mechanicsburg, then Agatha (satisfied her town was safe) dragging Gil off to Paris by his ear to keep him safe from his father's treatment shenanigans.
What do you all think, have we seen the Mechanical Mordor yet?
I don't think Wooster could/would impersonate Gil. I'd be more inclined to believe this is a doppleganger constructed from soy products.
That would be Dr. Sun's area of expertise. No, it would be either pork products or something out of the various labs full of exploding things.
Actually, it's Doctor Thmiz' area of expertise.
Well the time for the update is almost for ticking it but there are few things to fix so I'm thinking that we might get some obscure solution that no one might have Moxana pointed for like that illusion of Gil is in fact an Agent of Lu.
Edit:... Seems I must hit the bed for the update to go live.

Well here goes nothingAnd that's going to make it hard to zap the Kestle without killing Franz. Oh, yeah. Ogglespoon.

When ones trusted minion thinks something's off about a newcomer, and the newcomer responds by sedating said minion, that's a great big warning sign. Good to see Agatha recognizes that.
Still awake and saw the page... it is missing the giant neon sign.
Well here goes nothingIf Gil is himself, then it will turn out that Agatha is in serious danger and he really doesn't have much time.
Good to see Agatha making up her own mind. And that's a nice firm order, we'll see if Gil obeys.
Poor Franz, being a faithful construct. Wonder what he spotted about Gil?
I think it is the real Gil, that expression in the first panel is so exactly how he'd react to Agatha slipping like that. And yes, I'm sure from his perspective, and perhaps ours if we knew what he knows, Agatha is in immediate danger.
x4 Greybeard Fan, don't forget that a charge seems to be something Franz can enjoy, as long as DK bleeds off enough of the energy that he doesn't take the full force, I think he'll be fine.

My first thought, on seeing the new page, was how'd he know to have a dragon-subduing sedative on hand? I mean, yeah, Gil's not exactly known for being always unprepared, but that strikes me as going well into Crazy-Prepared territory.

Othar will surely follow to Paris, even if he's not really welcome there. He has to protect his Spunky Girl Sidekick, after all, and he's harder to get rid of than a foot rash.
