This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeWell didn't expect the kenpo masters doing tests near the xmas season but then again... others do so as well.
Well here goes nothingOK, who let Krampus near the punch bowl at the office party...
...you know, I wonder if GG verse St. Nikoloas of Myra was a Spark, with his faithful servant Black Pete his chief minion.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI could totally see a spark making Krampus to enforce good behavior in children.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I still recall the other list Naughty Nice and MAD.
So Sparks get on another category by themselves?
Well here goes nothingOne of the print-novels has a footnote about Christmas in Europa- St Nikkolaus's helper is a construct named Blank Peter, and is fabricated anew every year out of several kidnapped Naughty Children.
Hmm, should we add that to the shout-out list as a reference to Epic Rap Battles of History ? - Nice Peter played Santa in the Christmas Episode
I have got to bug my library to buy those, not just get them through inter library loans.
And Blank Pete sounds freaking creepy.
That does answer the question though.

This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeNah, it's pretty clearly a reference to the Dutch Krampus-like figure Black Pete.

If the Master of Paris doesn't go overtly sparky over this and take clank-boy down a few pegs, I'm going to be extremely disappointed in the Foglios. You can't build a character up that far and then have them taken down by... that.
If the Other is Beausoliel's new master, it is a nice bit of character development that she's willing to share genuinely useful information with her minions.
Of course it's more than likely that she's sharing little tidbits that she considered useless or obsolete, while keeping any actually important information to herself. As a master manipulator, she knows how to keep stringing people along with promises of further rewards, but make no mistake that she'll discard them or stab them in the back at a moment's notice.

I'd call it an investment myself. The Other is a consciousness with no fixed body, so of course she needs minions who understand consciousness transfer.
That means she didn't give Beausoleil what he wanted as a gift, she picked him out because she could seduce him to her cause with a promise of knowledge that he wanted, but that also made him more useful to her.
We've been reminded of van Rijn's abilities with machine consciousness. Lucrezia had her own expertise in moving consciousness. I wonder ... is The Other linked to van Rijn?

Or, the Other may just be wanting to increase the numbers of the Lunevka range of Lus — and, needs somebody to actually build them. :/ What better way than to get a Spark already into that field onside? And, whatever else Lu has to hand, she probably has some copies of Tarvek's notes, as well as the Lunevka "muse" herself.
Alternatively, finding a way to make the imprinting machinery itself mobile and a Luclank into the bargain would be one way of never getting stuck immobile for decades again. :/

Well if Lu promised clankman (I forgot the name at the moment) that he could keep Paris as his new body or as a way point to produce more of him without needing to deal with the Mo P could be an option.
Then again it could be the third ringer which causes the trip to visit Albia, some person escaping from Albia perhaps...
Well here goes nothingWell, this was also unexpected.
But, dude, just because the Master is currently squashing your head into spare parts does not mean he thinks this is the end of your scheme.
It's just a way to get your nosy nobbins out of his HQ for a minute.
And have you been paying any attention to what those most vaunted systems are picking up? Or are you fooled by your own smoke blind?
Edit: and now we have a tiny insight into what was up with the thing trapped in Rjinn's lab.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWell, the one who actually made improvements on a Van Rijn-inspired design was Tarvek...
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Greybeard Fan: I'm working from the assumption that "The Muse of Time" is somehow closely connected to the Other; Lu-in-Agatha was very evidently able and eager to release her from Van Rijn's prison.
Beausoliel and the other are somewhat similar in that you can kill one instantiation of them, but that does nothing until you kill them all.
I think there’s a global conspiracy to see who can get the most clicks on the worst liesBeausliol could probably be taken down with a Gaslamp version of a computer virus. The Other's a little more difficult... you'd have to access her Calling machines.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettOh, he isnt in her league at all, I just thought it interesting that they resembled each other to a degree.
I think there’s a global conspiracy to see who can get the most clicks on the worst lies
Alright, where's the Sneaky Gate?
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!
