Less his mistake and more the voiced suspicion that she'd "end up like Doctor Vapnoodle". But I suppose it's moot if he was the victim she met (though it's kinda coincidential; maybe it only bugs me because I thought it wasn't before and that implied broader scope).
edit for today's strip: Man, Krosp has a hell of a temper. Where the hell did these anger management issues come from? Then again, I suppose he may partially blame Gil for letting the Baron de-spark Vapnoodle.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)That's possible. Still, not quite Krosp's normal style of assertiveness. Random thoughts:
- Aw, Gil ditched the Nize Hat.
- The coffee strikes again! Remind me, did Agatha have time to tweak the recipe, or does it have a weaker effect due to being cooled / diluted?
- Re: scene change; about 50/50 at this point. Good stopping point, but so was the last strip. They may want to get through more exposition.
btw, Double Post-ing is fine for new strips.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? No, it fell off when he leaned back in response to Krosp sticking his claw in his face. Check again, you can see it falling off.
Course, with the hat being on fire and covered in spikes, it's probably not a good thing for it to fall on the ground every time Gil moves too fast.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Funny. Apparently Krosp thinks he's using Agatha towards his own ends. I guess since he interpreted an off-the-cuff comment from her as an oath of fealty, now he thinks that the Heterodyne Empire will belong to him once Agatha re-establishes it.
Good luck with that.
(linky) Mmmm. Delicious exposition.
Oh, yeah. The nice thing about webcomics is that you can go back and appreciate that more easily.
Today: Looks like Zeetha intends to stick around Gil for a while. And how will Agatha handle such extensive patchwork? Would the Jagers let a Heterodyne clank do the work?
Also, the song being sung is very Jagery.

Y'know, I hadn't noticed the song until just now. I'm really liking this whole hat thing in jager culture.

And yeah, looks like Zeetha's sticking around. Makes sense, since she wants to keep an eye on Gil and doesn't trust him, and if he does double cross you want someone who can take him out nearby. Although it might be a bit inconvenient since the Baron thinks she's here to kill his son.
Also, I like how genre-savvy Zeetha is about sharing information. Namely, the sooner you explain absolutely everything point-blank (especially the circumstances which look bad to the person you're talking to), the better. And earlier when she chided Gil about his approach to dealing with his love interest. Yeah, I'm liking Zeetha a lot in this volume.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)The Cthulhu head mounted on the wall is a nice touch.
Lots of detail in this scene... the Clank waitress, the other heads, something looking like a beer-serving clank obscured by a speech bubble stem... the Foglios put a lot of work into this one!
Zeetha's headband is starting to creep me out...
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Duh-duh-duh... So, good news? Bad news? Imposter?
Now I'm hoping against a scene change...
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Klaus built himself a robot Klaus-alike, just for situations like this. It's my theory and I'm sticking with it!
Isn't this still the same day that Klaus first woke up? Hooray for Webcomic Time!
EDIT: Maybe Strinbeck and Oublemach have an imposter Klaus?

Yes, since Gil was reassured that he'd only been out a few hours.
No, I don't think there's an impostor Klaus. In case it hasn't become apparent yet, Klaus recovered waaaay faster than he should've, at least mentally. He most certainly was not "supposed" to have been able to enjoy a good view of Gil's demonstration, after all. I find it not very hard to imagine him giving out slews of orders right now to try to reign things in.
However, the last line, "He's up, all right," implies he's, like, PHYSICALLY out there doing stuff. And that'd be impressive right now.
And no, I think G Il's been rescued from an imminent scene change.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)I figure Klaus has probably strapped himself into a mechanical brace and is now stumping around in it, doing himself all sorts of damage and getting by on painkillers and stubborness. After all, Klaus was kinda relying on his son to run the show until he made a recovery, and now his son has gone and vanished mysteriously right after a big epic battle.
And let's be honest, if you were Klaus, who other than Gil would you trust to run things?
Gotta love the innocent look on his face.
Wonder which two assistants he roped in to drive him...
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I really should have been expecting that, but I wasn't.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)"Klaus is riding a clank around" is hardly the same thing as "Klaus is up". IMO, the latter implies a bit more action on Klaus' part.
Although he did manage to handcuff Du Pree to the bedpost, so nevermind.
No wonder Klaus conquered half of Europe!
So, no new page yet. Is the webmaster taking Memorial Day off or something?
"Last time"? I am intrigued...
And I guess they finally did sneak in a scene change.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?
Ah, thanks for reminding me.

So even if Gil does know about Krosp, I don't know how he'd connect Krosp with Agatha's escape.
