He doesn't need a reason to oppose Rad, but Rad needs a reason to freak out the way he does upon recognizing Martin. Rad interrupts himself upon upon realizing Martin is among Robster's men and panics, as though there's some pre-existing enmity between them.

Martin starts transforming as Rad screams for help, but Rad started his Oh, Crap! before that.

Probably because he knows Martin isn't evil and lenient towards his evil plans? Well, I mean, Dracula's there, and could probably help King Rad out if necessary, but I'm not sure that'd stop him from freaking out.

...Also, Martin wasn't one to get involved with being a mob enforcer of his own volition, so that was more reason to be suspicious, right there.

People don't generally freak out due to the presence of a person who may or may not be loyal to their goals and might be a useful ally or enemy, it remains to be seen. They freak out because someone who wants them dead is standing five feet away.

Rad's acting like he just spotted an assassin with a blood oath of vengeance.

Did we ever establish who tricked Martin into selling out? Maybe we just got a clue to a loose end we all forgot that's about to be tied up.

Well, Martin is a staunch friend of Doc. Their last meeting was before Radical became mortal enemies with Doc.

I wouldn't feel safe in the same room as the Hulk if I'd made enemies with Tony Stark, even if my last meeting with Banner was amicable.

That is one big monster.

Presumably as big as he likes, as long as he doesn't mind getting dumber.

In fairness, getting bit [sic] by a vampire would probably make me mad, too.

Also, Martin singlehandedly wrecking Rad's regime here would make for one hell of an anticlimactic chapter, so one imagines it won't stick.

Yeah. This is probably what Doc and Dark Smoke Puncher were talking about here. Robster has no idea he's in on the plan because the plan was just to get Martin inside so he could throw a fit and punch a hole in the Fearamid's slightly less imposing little cousin.

Meanwhile, Martin probably only knows the part of the plan where Doc suggested revenge to him. He's a plant, Robster's a patsy.

That makes Martin feel angry!
