Most interesting because when he got the message from anthony he seemed to treat it... as a game of sorts? He was positively beaming at helping his friend commit mischief like when they were kids.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Mourning = being sad. So even if Donald does consider Anthony dead, which I doubt, Coyote is still wrong.
And I think the "Coyote never lies" thing is rather strained after that incident.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Again there are ways to not tell the truth without outright lying.
Plus Tony still needs to atone and he knows it.
There is something unsettling about how Coyote finds the broken mind of someone amusing.
I don't think we've gotten any indication that Donny doesn't consider Anthony his friend anymore. He's keeping him at arm's length, sure, but he's still dedicated to helping him.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Even without taking Coyote's words at face value, there are signs that Donny and Tony's relationship took a turn for the worst lately.
He's been relatively cold towards Tony and even decided to allow his daughter to spy on their conversation in an attempt to undo the damage Tony did.
My impression is that he considers Tony as more of a responsability than a friend now. Maybe when he saw how Tony treated Anny upon his return, Donny felt that enough was enough.
But that's just my read on things.
I definitely got the feeling that his checking in on Tony was far less out of concern for his friend, and more for Antimony's benefit.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Yeah, even before we got that whole life story Donny already seemed like he wasn't exactly thrilled that Tony was back.
He always spoke of him somewhat fondly before, at least as a distant memory, but we never really got a read on what that relationship is like today. The in-between has always been fuzzy.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWell, if Tony died right now, I think Donny and Anja would just be relieved more than anything else. Tony's clearly suffering, and I think the best you can say about his recent doings is that he's somewhat mitigating the crap falling on Annie. I could easily see them going "At least he's a peace; hopefully, he's with Surma now" if Tony died. That's still showing care for Tony, but it wouldn't be mourning.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.A lie by omission is still a lie.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!@22760 And saying something because you don't have correct or sufficient information is both not lying and not telling the truth. It's telling the truth so far as you know it, but not truth in an absolute sense.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Eagal: Functionally, yes. Technically, no. No one said Coyote was honest or trustworthy.
Definitely a lot of Exact Words and From a Certain Point of View going on, anyways. Compounded by coyotes Blue-and-Orange Morality
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"^ Well, I don't think it's that Coyote literally can't lie, just that he doesn't. Life is a game to him and one way to make games more fun is self imposed handicaps.
Yeah that Ysengrin, so crazy. Expecting people not to cheat or wear bad makeup.
Well, she isn't explaining herself very well. We all know those aren't the issues.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThis is kind of an amazing scene in a way that's hard to pinpoint.
Ah, lulz, how I've missed you.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Bestwolfdad lays it down like it is.
I knew there was a reason I liked Ysengrin.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! It says a huge amount that the better adult male influences in Annie's life include Reynard and Ysengrim. Of course, Donny is in a league of his own: the Champion's League.
I just like Ysigren's deadpan reaction, just "Is this not a issue that someone would be justifiably upset?"
Next we'll see her explaining what she learned about her dad and Ysigren will give her more life advice.
Reminder that Tony did nothing wrong
Dressed to Kill.
No, I think he was right. I think Donny might be a little sad if Anthony died, but I think he already considers his friend dead in a way. This is more like a husk that walks, talks and screws everything up on accident.
