Yeah, what Annie does with this information is the next big question, since it seems as though Don's reasoning for letting Annie hear followed our line of thinking.

I think Ninety is more talking "physical position in which to sleep" - I'd bet top dollar that Anthony is going to wake up with an awful crick in his neck and/or back. Heck, my neck feels sore looking at it.

Also... yeah, it feels like Donny and Anja are the Only Sane People in this comic. They do their best, damn it.

I'm pretty sure Tony isn't drunk to the point where he's at risk of asphyxiating in his sleep.

But Tony is really bad at depending on other people, so it's a lot easier to tell him "I'll leave you to yourself" than "come on, we need to get you to bed" or something.

...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.

You know, I'm wondering if by the end of this chapter we are going to see the culmination of Reynardine's "instructions". Something along the lines of "If he hurts you, you must do anything it takes to defend yourself."

Drunk!Tony will attempt one last time to get Rey to show his true form and when it fails he will hurl Rey towards the wall. Rey will consider this an attempt on his life and react accordingly.

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.

Rey has demonstrated that he is willing to kill to protect Annie. He might see Tony's admitance that he is a bad father as further proof that he has to go.

I know this is a typo, but it seems like the most applicable verb imaginable. She needs to confront him about what he did, but somebody needs to comfort him about what he's gone through leading up to that.

There is absolutely no connection between this haircut and exactly the same haircut Mulan got.

Or he might see the whole thing as proof that, hey, he's a badly adjusted jerk, but not actually a bad person.

Rey is pretty familiar with making bad decisions that hurt the people he loves. The only question is, will he recognize the similarities to his own past and therefore empathize with Tony—or will he just get angrier at Tony, while the similarities completely fly over his head? The latter was how Rey interacted with Zimmy, but that was a while ago, and he seems to have learned his lesson.

Well, I wouldn't put it past Rey to be angry at Tony but recognize that he's really just angry with himself and displacing it onto Tony.

It's sad, watching all these hurt people pinball into each other and accidentally hurt each other further. Again, full props to Donald and Anja, because they might not be able to totally stop this cycle of hurting, but they're doing their best to at least put everyone in a position to start healing.

Also, I don't know if I said it, but I appreciate how Donald was up front with how he's not going to excuse anyone's behavior, but he's hoping to spread some understanding. Is therapy a common side hobby for computer scientists in the Court, or is he just that good?
