The thing that's really awful about this, aside from the symbolism, is that it's not clear if it's just symbolism or Tom's hinting that Annie's been cut off from her etheric abilities.

"Sometimes hair is just hair" would hold a lot more weight if the comic hadn't already used hair as symbolism a bunch of times.
But I'm holding off on assigning meaning to that "halo", until we get more data.

i think the last image is symbolic of how antimony has had everything cut away from her if you think about it the entire chapter was about Anthony pulling away everything from her from standing to relationships
