I'm referring to DURING the time when they were still loyal to Azula.
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Aku, so I can't say for certain.
They might think he sounds familiar, though...
Oh God! Natural light!Aku would roflstomp any supposed "alliance". They really do nothing for him. He'd pretty much just take over the Fire Nation and use it to take over the world.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI bet Azula would be scared to death of Aku.
...I mean, ancient evils are scary, yes. Why her specifically, though?
Oh God! Natural light!I don't know, probably because Aku is akin to that of a spirit. And we know how revered spirits are in the Avatar universe. Not to mention he looks vaguely similar to Vaatu.
Hell, EVERYONE in the Fire Nation would be terrified (or at the very least intimidated) by Aku.
Now I expect Aku making a joke to Zuko about his uncle. (Same voice actors FTW)
EDIT: I think the real reason Azula would fear Aku is because of his power. Since she likes to control others via power and fear, having a spirit-like being meet her would probably leave her shocked. Not to mention her *clears throat* insecurities.

Bump.
I can only imagine Azula's surprise when she tries to kill Jack with his own sword, only to find out it can't be used for evil deeds.
Also, Zuko developing a special hatred for Aku.
You seem to be bringing up hypothetical Samurai Jack crossovers in a lot of threads.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I know. But I can't help it because I LOOOOOOOVE that show so much.
He'll end up calling him Unku some point.
Maybe the fanfic forum would have more feedback to offer?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Random thought.
I don't know when it was, but at some point I dropped the series simply because I lost interest in it. Then by some chance, I watched Zuko Alone. Holy shit, was I impressed by that episode. I thought that episode was so good that it revitalized my interest in this series. Personally, it's still my favorite episode and made me start loving Zuko.
Also, it helps that his hairstyle changed dramatically, into something handsome.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Seriously, Zuko's hair change between seasons 1 and 2 greatly improved his character.
The show grew its beard in season 2 in a lot of ways, really.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That made me wonder what would have happened if Zuko remained bald and only his beard grew.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Not the kind of episode you expect from a Nickelodeon show. Avatar was really something else.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That's exactly what I felt. Back then my idea of Nickelodeon was something along the line of Sponge Bob, Fairy Oddparents, and Drake & Josh.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I really can't decide whether Earth, Fire or Change is better. They're all phenomenal. But Zuko wins for best character arc hands down.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Zuko also gets the award for best Heel–Face Turn ever.
Yeah, Zuko's character arc is extremely strong. However I'm also glad Korra did not attempt to recreate it. I just have a gut feeling it would have fallen flat trying any sort of recreation.
In general LOK was pretty inverse-TLA overall, so it wasn't really a worry anyway.
I've been meaning to ask for a while. What is your avatar from dRoy?

It had a few missteps. Personally, I'm not fond of the scene where Zuko goes to his father's chamber to tell him, "Dad, I'm a Face now. Just wanted you to know that. I'm not going to do anything right now but I've packed my things and am setting out to join the Faces. See you when we win!"
Likewise, his insistence on using Black-and-White terminology to describe the change. "I thought I was Good but I was actually Bad but now I'm Good!" For a guy who just firsthand experienced the extent at which the subjective nature of perspective can lead to wildly differing opinions on concepts of good and evil, Zuko is really quick to become a Knight Templar - jumping all the way to, "No, Aang, you must kill my father. No other outcome is accceptable!"
He's a bit eager to embrace his new role. It fits with Zuko's tendency to leap headlong into things without thinking about them overmuch, but if this behavior was meant to be a flaw, it would have been nice to see it addressed.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.See, this is where we part ways, as I found the confrontation scene extremely satisfying. I think it needed to happen. Zuko needed to face his father - it both fits his character and is something that needed to happen onscreen. It would have been a disgrace for such a scene never to happen.
We can talk about shades of grey, but...well, it's Ozai.

Oh God! Natural light! That last sentence...
I wouldn't be surprised if Ozai was into poor attempts ad BDSM.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyQuick, someone make a Avatar version of that Fifty Shades meme!
Oh God! Natural light!
Mai and Ty Lee are, more or less, not affiliated with Azula anymore. Ty Lee's now with the Kyoshi Warriors and Mai's living with her Aunt, Tom-Tom, and mother at her Aunt's.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!
