- Growing the Beard: While twisted fun in season 1, the show comes into its own when Satan literally grows his beard in season 2. Along with eschewing scenes on earth for more time in Hell, and the introduction of Troy.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Dustin Diamond appears in an episode as himself, having been condemned to hell. It turned out to be Diamond's last TV role before succumbing to cancer.
