  • Tear Jerker:
    • The second generation gods are very regretful for their role in exiling/imprisoning Herobrine during the Fall. Turavus is particularly upset with herself for it.
Turavus: I hurt my baby brother…
    • Several of the deaths of Treehold royals. Especially Peter the Dragonhearted (died in his sleep, but was this in universe due to his greatness), Hailith Chase (bone cancer), and Kubo Chase (fell into depression after the death of his wife, recovered slightly before dying in his sleep).
    • The Ender Dragon being the last of her kind. Worse still, she’s so old that she remembers when the other dragons were still alive. She saw her friends and peers get wiped out by hunting, war, and environmental destruction. (Unless the rumors of surviving dragon eggs are true. Hope spot?)
    • Celes’s backstory. She loved a mortal man, and well...it couldn’t last forever. Worse still, being the goddess of death, she had to escort her husband’s soul to the afterlife. Is it any wonder she’s disillusioned with love these days?
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: In Tinir, it’s easy to view the Piglins race in a much more understanding light. Unlike in the Fallen Kingdom tetrology that partially inspired Tinir, here they have an actual reason for invading the Overworld: it’s an act of retaliation after generations of war and colonization attempts from humans. It doesn’t help that Tinir also paints the Fallen King and his dominion in a more troubled, if not negative light.
